Matrix? I was cruising O.C. last week and stopped a light when a blue toyota matrix lined up beside me. I could here his exaust, and i will give it to him, for a car like that it sounded good. Sitting therethe passenger looked over at me and said " awwwwww look at the firebird its got a cute little gauge." (autometer 5inch sportcomp tach and shiftlite" Then he asked me if i wanted to run him for money. I asked him if he was serious and he was, so i said lets do it. He started taching up his ride proceeding to look like an a$$. The light turned green and immeadiatley it seemed i had 2 cars on him and kept pulling to at least 8 cars. I slowed down and he caught up to me flicked me off then took off over the bridge to leave O.C. I didnt get no money 
o well it just made my night because that guy was so stupid

My dad was into hot rods back in the 60's and he got me into that. Now when a guy pulls up next to me and asks "is that thing fast?" or "what do you have done to that?", I always say "its stock....."
The best part is all the emblems (Z28, Chevy, and even the camaro impression on the rear) are gone so it "looks" like a V6. The only exterior things to tell its not a V6 are the exhaust (lope and pipes), rims/tires, and the roll cage. Most people don't know to look for things like that, they just look for emblems (is it an SS....).

Re: Matrix? I don't know what can be done to a Matrix but, man, are those things slow, slow, slow!!!!!!!!!!! I have driven many Toyotas in my day and they are well built. But they sure are losing it in the style department. They need to wake up over there. I like their slogan for the Celica..........."....Looks Fast" Yeah.....And thats about IT!!!!!!

I don't know what can be done to a Matrix but, man, are those things slow, slow, slow!!!!!!!!!!! I have driven many Toyotas in my day and they are well built. But they sure are losing it in the style department. They need to wake up over there. I like their slogan for the Celica..........."....Looks Fast" Yeah.....And thats about IT!!!!!!

Re: Matrix? The Matrix is the same car as the Pontiac Vibe, and Pontiac has a GXP model coming out soon that has F.I. and still only makes 175HP, so you could spray the he!! out of one of those things and it still would be no match for a GT let alone an Fbody.

Damn... what the hell is the matter with people? You might as well hotrod a station wagon, which I have seen people do. Why I don't know. If you want something fast, start out with a sports car and throw parts at that. Guess that's what makes us all individuals. Some people have no taste or common sense!

Re: Matrix? Don't forget, the Dodge Magnum (SRT-8) will be coming out next year. I plan to trade the T/A in for one of those and hot rod it. Don't underestimate the wagons or you might just find yourself crying on your timeslip. (Might I suggest you read up on what Audi has done with their wagons?)
