I'm PRETTY SURE that was like 160. cause the C5's go from 160/180/200 on their speedo if I remember correctly from driving one and if you compare with the video it's like 160.
So I researched too:
Without significant mods on the SS, hows it gonna do 180 like that? I mean I think cammed cars can hit like 170, someone in discussion did that.. But 180 would be crazy.

They were going 180. That Vette dynoed 420Rwhp and the SS puts down 406Rwhp. Passenger in the Vette and no one in the SS.
With the LS6 package the SS has, the car is capable of 186, but it won't happen because of aerodynamics. (most likely) Basically, it's a C5 Zo6, with full bolt ons...180 is very plausible...

A 420rwhp vette,..WILL WALK A 420whp camaro,..let alone, a 400whp one.
Unless ofcourse,..your dealing with poopy drivers. Which, seems to be the trend in vettes nowadays.

Oh, I forgot to mention the Vette is a convertible as well. Which makes it heavier.
I honestly don't see how your confused...Both cars are close in weight due to a passenger and the Vette being a convertible. Also, just because the Vette makes 14Rwhp more, doesn't mean it's going to win...It depends where the cars make the power...

Did you see the camaro bouncing? I bet that was scary, it looked like 170ish to me but who cares. Either car could prolly see 180 if they stayed in it long enough, hell ive seen gps verified 170 in a bone stock 01ss. Good run and I dont know why the vette didnt pull harder up top.
