because its about all we have around here i may be going to the other local track, sunday albeait im a bit broke, after a tune, dr's, and the strip last night almost 600$ ive lost this week, but atleast i got a 1.90$ race last night..., anywayz i thought 8.38 was good as helll for a bolt on lt1, and im 100% sure it has an 8.20 in it

 

Smokey isn't broke. LOL it is down till around Tuesday of next week. I had to pull the heads off and get them fixed. I'm picking the heads up today after work. Hell I could have it running tonight if I really wanted to.. So how is your turd coming along? You talk about other people's cars that are down for a short time but your car hasn't ran in almost a year. LMFAO

 

That's ok. Atleast I can take my slow Mustang and trade it in on a new faster one.

I guess the Camaro and TA really are truly faster than Mustangs. After all they did reach the end of their production run before the Mustang.

Broken cam sproket will cause that to happen. Those Valves didn't hurt anything anyway. Just had to replace the intake valves on that side. It would have already been running this week but we found a few small cracks in the head that need to be welded. So I dropped the heads off Tuesday and picking them up today. I might still go with that 76 but I've been thinking of an 88mm.

How does beating one or two Mach's or even losing to one or two Mach's put anything to rest? There's always a faster car with a better driver. I realized 3 years ago that'll I will never have the fastest Mach. I don't want to spend that much money on a single car or item. I just have fun with what I have and respect the faster cars no matter what the make or model.

 

me to but the more i race, the more we know, now if i race 3 and beat 3 by similar amounths then its kinda conclusive same goes with me losing.

 

These threads make me wanna go buy a mach slap some gears and bolts ons on it. At least that way we could finally get the race done.

Hey Blake, I was one of the people from DF/W with a bone stock ls1 that said they would race a bone stock mach 1 so we could end the argument once and for all. Yeah it never happened. CapnSmokey was telling the truth about not getting any machs to come foward and accept the challenge. The plan was to have several chase cars with cameras so that there could be no debate on the outcome. We all know machs are fast cars I just don't believe they can pull an ls1. Maybe if the ls1 just flat out blew the tires off on the launch the mach may get the win. I would bet from a roll they wouldn't fair well at all though. Any stock mach's west of Fort Worth out there?
