Default Raced a "New Edge" Cobra and a 6.0 GTO

Last night a few of us were at a Shell when a white 99-01 Cobra pulls in. Well I noticce hes just chilling in the back not doing anything. WHen we decide to leave I roll up to him and start talking to him, pretty cool guy, anyway I asked him if he wanted to race, he accepted. Racing on Vets in traffic is gay so we went on I-10 to the normal spot where we always race at. well I asked him what he wanted and we agreed on a 40mph roll. Well, I honked it off and he pull 1 full car on me(I have an auto)but that was it. I realed him in and passed him and by the time I hit 120mph I had him by 3 cars according to him. He said he didn't miss shift or anything, he said I just pulled the **** out of him. His Cobra was stock he said. I was really surprised that I pulled him that hard. They are rated at 320hp and 320tq so I thought it would be really close, o well.

The driver was a really cool guy and all, took the loss real well. I invited him to follow me to meet up with my friends but he said he was just gonna cruise.

I also raced a friend with the modded(full exhaust, intake, short shifter, and spray but he didn't spray) 6.0 GTO and it wasen't as good for me,lol. He put 2 cars on me by 120mph, lol.

It definitly was. We also had a '94 500whp single turbo'd Supra with us, a 3??whp '93 RX7,another BPU '95 Supra, and a ZXR600(I think it was). Were all good friends(except the Cobra driver, just met him) and it just so happen that the Cobra pulled up, it was nice knowing I wasn't the slowest any more, lol.

lol. It's not the only Termis you have to worry about. My best friend has a 99 Cobra with comp cams and a few other goodies. It's not slow by any means. The only races I know of it losing were a Procharged C5 (owned by one of the guys at the WS6store), which absolutely raped it and he also lost to a supercharged Goat.

Nice kill! And I think speedshifterNC was refering to stock Cobras.

KWIK WS6, you had an LT1 with a cam and bolt-ons making over 400 rwhp?

I didn't realize that was possible. I knew you could with an LS1, but not an LT1. Must've had one hell of a tune.

Stock N/A Cobra's are mid/upper 13s....that is a driver's race to me......Then again...I give other brands respect, unlike mister speedshifter.

I run low 13s stock so the race was over before it begun BUT it was from a roll and 1/4 don't count at all. Last time I went to the track, on my way home I pulled up next to a 03-04 Mach 1(lots of fords in my area)and he ran a 13.8 best, like I said I run 13.3s all night, well long story short, he pulled me by 3/4 a car up to 120mph where we shut down. He wasn't stock though, I think he just kept mis shifting at the track.

We have alot of fast cars in this area man, no need to go to Lafayette. In my group of 15-20 guys, everyone knows everyone kinda good so we pretty much chill together all day long. We go to Bonnable boat launch(end of Bonnable blvd at the lake in Metaire) or Kenner boat launch(End of Williams BLVD at the lake in Kenner) at night to meet up with the rest of the "street racing" crowd to shoot the ****(always wanted to use that phrase, lol). Lately, the cops have been shutting both down because of ricers playing loud music and doing pointless 2 feet burnouts in their Hondas. You live in New Orleans or around it? I'm in Vegas right now for SEMA but i'll be back friday night so maybe we can meet up saturday? It will be cool to have another Formula or atleast a V8 f-body rolling with us. LMK man.
