Low 12's neon?

Low 12's neon? I pull up to the gas station about a month ago to see a SRT 4 getting gas it was a nice looking car with lots of mods and a stage 1 tag on the back of the trunk. The guy kinda acted like not to see me and the Z but hell i had to ask "Whats that thing run man" with a under his breath laugh says "low 12's". It looked it to and i respond "nice which way you headed, want to do some hwy runs?" He said "Nah I'm headed into town to many cops around here. "I said "aight see you around"
Well tonight as I'm pulling out of my street to go wash the car I see him pass by headed out of town. Hmmm I wonder if.... so i give chase and catch up a few miles down the road. i slow roll past him and gave him a rev but no go, about a mile up the road theres a light and i cant believe we catch it just right so... with no rev's to each other the light turns green and we slowly start to roll and I'm ready for what ever then he hits it... I mash the gas and light up the tires and so does he, hit second and spin bad but so does he for a split sec he had a finder on me but I get some traction and pull him back even then third I started pulling him more about half a car and lets off
I was like oh **** is there a cop I didn't see? so I let out and I'm looking every where and didn't see any cops so back to this low 12's neon. I slow down and he caught back up to me we are doing about 30-40 my speedo is still messed up from the gear change. I hear him down shift so I down shift to, I honk one... two... and this guy takes off??? and I give chase and he's got car on me from the get go end of second I stopped his pull go to third and we are even... forth I'm walking him with my door passed his front bumper he slams the brakes again??? whats up with this guy scaring the **** out of me! anyways we just cruse and he turns off at 2004 and 288 for any of ya'll that knows where that is at. almost stock Z28>low 12's neon from a light and a roll

He wasnt hitting his brakes, you were just steam rolling him 
. Its so common around here, as soon as you get around somebody that stole the hit, they just shut it down. Usually it means that the guy was lying about what his car can do and he isnt going to pull you down. Good runs, but I still have a soft spot for those damn skittles, there so delicious.

Kinda funny but a good friend of mine has skittle and I have tried to teach him how to drive it... Anyway, he calls me up and says he got into 11.s with just an intercooler. I was like yeah whatever... Well, not too long ago I run into him, and it WAS the 8th... I guess he didnt learn how to shift yet.

stage one? Thats nothing, its barley in the 13s
But you shouldnt take those cars lightly
My freind had a AGP turbo kit on his **** on pump gas and walked mild cammed LS1 by a couple cars

Lol, I dont know why guys are like that. When I had my Evo I always had people coming up to me asking me if my car ran 11's and 12's. I was like wtf, where the hell do you guys here this stuff. I guess they would see me at street races beating people an automatically assume its a 11 or 12 sec car. Lol, I remember hearing of this turbo hatch that was "running 10's" and he was getting stomped by my buddies STi with a few bolt ons

Yeah I know there are fast SRT 4's out there and I know one day one will hand me my a$$. I just posted it to share the experience and fun I had that day. Maybe he ran low 12's on race gas and higher boost? I know one thing it sure felt good edging him out like that after the way he acted at the gas station (like I was some redneck who thought he had a fast car)lol I probable did look the part just got of work. It was almost like he was trying to intimidate me or something lol.

yeah, a lot of those guys all claim there cars run 12's....my friend has one and claimed it was a high 12's car, after months of haggling him to come to the track with me he finally went. He couldn't even break the 13's. But I have seen alot of them run in the 11's

I know of a srt thats running low 12's. But hes also running a 50 trim, with all supporting mods. Trapping in the low 120's, and on stock internals. Almost looks stock except for no exhaust and the painted FMIC. Those cars can be a real handful with the right mods.

I would say he only had a stage1 and a Stage1 is not ****. only adds a few horsepower.
Mines Stage0 And I run right with a stock T/A's and camaro's. they get me by half car to a fender depending.

*****'s are a 13 second car with alot of 14 second drivers. It's a FWD car and very hard to launch. The community that owns the cars give it a bad name.
Find a capable driver that doesn't have his head up his *** when it comes to mods, and you have a very dangerous car for under 18K.
