C-4 Vs. Formula
Driving home with my friend in the car when I see a C-4 pull up quick on my ***. I was going to turn right but then the guy in the C-4 revs at me (He has no passenger). I start smiling and knew it was on. I go straight and he guns it past me. I slowly speed up and try to get next to him but as soon as my front bumper reaches his back bumper he punches it. I play catch up and finally get stopped at a light with him in front of me. Light goes green and he speeds up and gets over in the left lane. I stay in mine and slowly catch up again. This time I was ready and when he went to gun it as I got next to him I dropped it into 2nd gear and mashed the pedal. We take off at the same time with him a little in front to start with. I slowly start pulling him and eventually put 2 cars on him by 115 -120mph when I shut down. He soon turns off afterwards and never looked over at me once. I was actually surprised and thought it would be an easier kill. I started at around 55mph which is not the greatest spot for my car but I am just curious if this car may have been modded or if that is just how fast they really are? Times are in my sig.

Well, I think most (or all?) later years had the LT1 if I remember correctly, which means those results were accurate if he happened to be in a strong spot and got the jump and you weren't. Also, if it was a 96, I believe it had an LT4, not an LT1, which means 330 rated hp and probably close to a stock LS1 in terms of performance. Keep in mind, especially with the LT4's power, that it's in a Vette, which weighs less and has better aerodynamics than your Formula. Nice kill.

The only way the c4 got the lt4 is if it was a grandsport, they did put lt1's in 96 corvettes. Some of those c4's run very strong though my brothers ran a 13.056@105 when it was stock. However that was at HRP on a very cool night, so he had just about perfect track conditions for the run. Sounds like you ran a regular lt1, thats about how much i beat my bros c4 by and we have similar mods.

Hell yeah... my mom had a red on red/black '94 back in the day, and that's one of the cars I learned to drive in. And then she gave me the keys my 16th birthday. I WILL have another C4

Definitely a lt1 or 4 powered one. Ran one in my s10 (high 12s) and he kept within 2-3 cars with only exhaust/filter on his part. I was impressed. I ALWAYS had traction probs in that beast though. TPI ones aren't much unless someone yanked it out and stuffed in a lsx
