I must suck *** at driving or a local guy here has more done to his stang than he said. I raced him a few months back and we were neck and neck. He said he only had header O/R X pipe and flowmaster exhaust. I have just a lid and SLP LM1 cat back. Was neck and neck to about 120 or so. He was a 5 speed I am M6.
After I put my headers on and catted Y I put about 1 car on him or so by 100ish. I have not raced him since any of my other mods though.

A buddy of mine has a friend that thinks his car is the ****, 2000 mustang GT, 4.10's, headers, flowmasters, CAI, Throttle body spacer, Performance clutch, mayb some other minor stuff but i forget, set me up to race him last night. Anyways, we line up at the last stop light going out of town, high 20 degree weather, and didn't have time to warm up the tires. We both hit it at the same time, I spun like crazy, first time i've ever spun all the way through second, and finally gripped when it hit third, but probably because of the cold pavement. he had a car on me because of my traction issues but pulled him pretty hard after i did get traction and by 90 I had 3-4 cars on him. We stop and talk and gives me an excuse that he missed 2nd because my car was outragously loud and he couldn't hear his own engine to when he needed to shift, I didn't say anything, just laughed to myself for a couple minutes
2nd race- Both warmed up the tires on this race. Both had the same reaction time on the 3rd honk. I spun all the way through first, and chirped into second. His front nose was at my door at 40, then when I got traction at the beginning of 2nd, I pulled him hard. Only went to 85 because he was at least 5 car lengths behind. Still trying to get used to the new 3.42's, big difference from the 2.73. His car looked pretty bad *** and sounded nice, I hate to say it but I love the mustang tone of the exhaust.

typical mustang driver
+1 they do sound good. That is why ford outsold chevy, imo..
All that barking like I said before and their bite nevermind
Good Kill!

lol comeon, they didnt outsell chevy beacuse of the sound. LS1 fbodys are performance cars where as mustang GTs are for everyday people like nurses, female school teachers, handicapped people, liberals etc.

I doubt he's ever broken out of the 13's, if he's actually
been to a track that is.

I am nowhere near a hypocrite. I know my car is stock, slow and whatever but I don't think it's the **** b/c I have a lm exhaust and it' an SS
Unlike mustang drivers like the OP mentioned, just b/c they have prob thee best sounding exhaust it makes his car the ****. and hopefully he learned his lesson now
