WS6 vs 350Z
#22
They sell like hot-cakes and have really good tranies and diffs stock. I can't wait to see the engine swaps start. A 402CI Z would be a very very good car in just about every way. Probably have better wieght distrabution.
I have seen times all over the map for 350s. I personally watched one line up against a freind at Firebird. CF hood and cat-back from the look of it. The thing ran a 15.2. I felt bad for the car. I can see 13s with a good driver for about any of them.

Well considering that 99% of LS1 F-bodies don't get out of the 13s stock, I'd say they're pretty damn close. But yeah, it is apples to orange... completely different cars.

Well I wouldn't say "faster than," but very close. Mach 1s, '03-'04 Cobras, and LS1s are still faster than the new 350Zs in general, but they have closed the gap considerably. I wouldn't want to run into a new 350Z with a good driver in my car, as it would most likely end up with me getting beat

Even the new 350Zs are not posting trap speeds above 105mph and the very, very few exceptions are awfully suspect. The low 13s are with incredible 60fts for stock tires. The day and track it runs low 13s, a stock LS1 is running the same or quicker at 3-4mph faster.
Both are raced in the same T2 class in the SCCA.
I've killed a few in my SRT-8 too but its been a while. The owners online are touchy....

Stock 03-06 z's run low 14's to mid 14's with the average driver. Good drivers run them from 13.6-13.9. The 07's run 13.2-13.5 stock with good drivers and high 13's with average drivers.
My best stock in my 04 was 13.8@102.7
on 9psi vortech was 12.1@113.55... best mph was 116.85 with a 12.4 et
