Cool WS6 vs 350Z

going home from a little shopping and these two nissan 350Z's get right up next to me quick, the black one was in the far right lane jumps before any honking or revving or anything so he was not involved but the silver one in the middle lane wants to play so we both hit and my WS6(still without a TUNE) never down shifts from OD but still pulls him until the wife(who was with me) says thats enough! a quick race nothing special, didn't get a good race but maybe I will look out for these two again sometime! anyways are these cars fast enough for me to worry about?

i seriously doubt they are low 13 sec car from the factory. i could buy high 13s. depending on whats done to your WS6, a 350Z can be modded too. i wouldn't sweat one unless it at least had forced induction.

both cars had custom wheels and exhaust and seemed fairly quick but not enough! my car is at least a low 12 sec. car so.....I know it wasn't the best story but I haven't had anything in awhile so I posted this one!

Well like it or not, the 350Zs have been capable of running in the 13s since their introduction in 2003... the new ones are *capable* of 13.2-13.3, as they are quite an improvement over the '03-'06 cars.

I have no doubt that if my tranny had dropped down a gear it would have just silly or even from a dig it would not have been a race but just curious and didn't want to be closed minded to what I think is cool looking car and one of the few imports I even like!

ran an 08 350Z with the nismo package and a catback, and me with just a cutout and lid and I pulled him hard the whole time, til I shut down at 110 with him 4-5 cars back. Easy kill, they can be made fast, if you find a way to work in that tiny engine bay. But those computer mouses are not fast stock.

Good kill. Thats the first car I raced with the SRT8 when I got it. I beat it pretty good (not old Cobra good ) with my 300 stock. I say they are high 13's. I didnt even bother to post it in the kills.

I agree! When they first came out, i saw them running mid 14s 1/4 mile times and they were rated at 260hp. and that's bone stock A4 LT1 car times. for 2008, they are rated at 306hp and 268tq. like you said ads_99ta, a high 13 is believeable. now if they were modded... i'm sure a 350Z with full exhaust, cia and a tune could pull a low 13... maybe even a high 12. then again, remember, it's not a lightweight car at 3340lbs according to car and driver....

13.6-13.7 cars at best stock. Fun to toy with. Lots of drivers where I live that think they are unbeatable.

Well like I said... people have run as low as 13.2-13.3 with bone stock '07s. The 2003-2006 cars are a whole different animal. THOSE are the mid-high 13s ones.

I believe it, but that's with an exceptional driver mod.

Nice kill. What are your mods? I'm surprised you pulled like that in OD because they are quick little buggers.

I've always heard the older ones are low 14s to high 13s and the new ones are mid 13s, maybe cracking a 13.3 or so with a good driver.
