Gotta give credit where credit is due nice kill. Could you tell if it was an auto or stick?

It was stick, I could tell when it was beside me. The Mach had exhaust, loud as hell. I thought it was quick.
I love this cam, good power for the size. I need to get some LS6 heads.

and not stock either. i'm heads and cam and no stock mach is gonna be in the zip code of 4-5 cars from me at the end of the quarter. the last one that i ran, with a 150 shot and who knows what else, wasn't within 4-5 cars either.

Thats fine and dandy, but you didn't race a 150 shot mach 1 with "who knows what else" and beat it by more than 4-5 cars. You didn't beat anything except for you meat and even then it wasn't enough because you felt the urge to come on here and "swing your dick" in an attempt to add fuel to the fire. A 150 shot mach with bolt ons is MORE then enough to make it a good race and most likely beat an average h/c f-body.

Good day sir

well mr psychic network, what does a 150 shot on a mach 1 net in the quarter at my local track? cuz the day i ran it was 12.05 at 115ish. don't remember exact details cuz it was back in the summer. and i know it was a 150 shot cuz i've talked to the guy several times as he is at the track pretty regularly. the last mach i raced had gears and some other bolt ons and it was a waste of my gas, not even close. oh and i don't have your typical f-body either smart ***. i drive an 04 vette a4 with a personal best of 11.37 at 120 with a da around +500, and i dont sleep at the light. do the math smart guy.

A Mach 1 with bolt ons and a 150 shot will run 120mph or faster......And will run faster than 11.37 with some sticky tires

what do they run stock 13.2-13.3? i dunno, cuz i have not seen one go that fast (stock) at my local track, and i'm there almost every week whether i race or not. what is the typical race weight on these. b/c with the published curb weight of 3469 and my fat 225 pound ***, it should take a 3700 lb car close to 500 rwhp to beat an 11.37. i just don't see a 150 shot picking up 2 seconds.

Do you really race or are you a bench racer?

i race just about every week, hence my statement that i have not seen one run these kind of times. i've prob got 250+ passes since feb 07 in my car, and 50-75 between my two bikes. i made the semifinals 9 of the last ten times i have raced king of the hill brackets, and i have 3 finals in that time span with one first and two runner ups, including last wed night. not trying to blow my own horn, this is the internet after all. so what exactly is your point with this statement?

A Mach 1 with sticky tires, bolt ons, and a 150 shot will run 11.37@120mph or better given a good driver, point blank..... You can cut it however you want but thats the facts.

It was a joke.

Obviously anyone into racing is gonna win some and lose some, regardless of the make/model of the cars they race.

What are the specs on that cam?

EDIT: Just found them in a previous response. Damn dude, 394/370 through that tiny cam AND an A4? That's sick. Your car must pull like a mother.

I was very surprised with this cam. I friend of mine had one and loved it. I was thinking about something bigger. When I drove his car I was like wtf. I pick up a few more ponies then he did though.

I know what it will do with a 150 shot, and some non-sticky tires, and a fairly stock exhaust system LOL!!

Haha, my brother had a similar experience. His friend had a mid-230s cam with smaller lift (.560-.570 range I believe) and he made 365 with it in his SS. He took it out and sold it cheap to my brother who installed it in his Z28 and my brother put down 420 and trapped 118.9 with pretty much the same bolt-ons.

Some cars just react better to the same mods than other cars do. Obviously there's a reason for it, but with such similar mods, it's too hard to try and pinpoint the tiny variables that are obviously playing a huge roll in the power difference.

Nice Kill, stories like these are why I don't like to roll race with LS1 cars, not that you wouldn't have won from a dig but that’s where the mach’s gearing comes into play the most.

I've only raced my car twice so don't pay attention to the crappy time in my sig lol. When I weighted it at the track last time (I weigh a little under 200lbs) and with more than a half tank of gas everything in the trunk even some extra's like my electric air pump 3590lbs was my race weight.
