Default 1 kill and a near death count for mine

I was on my way home tonight when I spied a yellow mach 1, from a distance I could tell that it was lowered and as it passed I heard a throaty exhaust note. I have seen this car a few times around town but havent been lucky enough to run side by side yet....but that all changed. I flipped around the next block trying to catch up to him but he obviously had the same idea because he turned around to come after me, so I got behind him and we went out on the highway, I got up next to him and we were running about 55mph then without a honk, yell, or even a look I heard him downshift and start the race so from the start he caught me a little off guard and pulled about half a car on me before I stepped on it, I was gaining on him and had about a fender to go before I was leading when I had to shut it down due to a truck in my lane(his lane was open). He pulled off to a side road off the highway to turn around and go back into town and we B/S'd window to window for a min,I asked him his mods and he tried to pull one over on me and tell me it was stock-so I informed him that my wife had a stock mach 1 that I walked all over. He changed his story to he had some basic boltons,CAI,X-pipe with borla stingers and I assume he had it tuned because he said one of his tunes was set up for a 125 shot of N20 (which was not installed yet). After talking for a min we decide to run them again ,so we get back onto the highway and are rolling about 40mph when we both punch it pretty close to the same time
I instantly pulled about a car on him and slowly gained more and more as we went on to about 110 and I clearly had over 2 cars on him so it was a good race and so I am adding another kill to my list but giving him some credit for the first encounter which stung a little lol

Are you serious, your wife knows shes out of her league with her mach1...I know this is a chevy site, but please show no respect to 4 valvers, i dont own a 4 v or an LS1, but my buddys have had them all, im a foxbody guy if im racing, a mach 1 may only be 281 cubes, but lets face it, an ls1 wont make even close to the power per cube a 4v will, hence a 4v will make just as much rwhp with the same mods....short of modding the internals, it has the ability to make more power....especially power adder to power adder, especially boost, a stock untouched 4v 281 can do 600+rwhp and 600+rwtq on a stock engine with a kenne bell or whipple....give me a break

^^ I personally don't care about HP per cube, I care about hp. I don't give a **** how many cubes it has as long as it makes the power I want. And I have yet to see a 4v motor without a power adder that I was impressed with. I like the 4v motor especially the cobra motor but your comparing apples to oranges. They both have they're benefits. Forced Induction definately levels the playing field. Besides he said her car was stock so yes he's out of her league. And one more thing I would refrain from making comments like that from now on, it just starts arguements that never end well.

Let's face it. Cobra motors, a I assume from your comments, are FORGED!! This helps them support HIGH HP #s. BTW you sound just like a ricer with your 'horsepower per cube' comments - comparing FI to N/A. Show me an ALL MOTOR 4V making the same big as an LS1 can N/A. Then we can talk Forged vs Forged FI numbers, which the LS1 will win as well.

sad thing is, it is a stronger engine which is my point retard.... na to na, ill take an ls1, any mods so long as the internals are stock on both engines, a 4v makes an ls1 its bitch, boost or n20, as strong as an ls1 can be stock under the heads, it cant hang with a 4v, if you can prove otherwise, do it.......

4V 4.6 like Cobra and Mach motors not all that bored and stroked mess. Sorry, I forgot to mention 4.6

Compare apples to apples. If you choose not to, simple have a look at the extensive LSX lineup. NO MATCH!

cubes make up for the lack of valves in an LSX motor hence why less = more power.

Nice runs, and I have a question for the stang guys. I was talking to a dude with am 04 GT the other night and he was showing me he had a switch in his dash to change the tune. How does that work? I wish I could have a gas mileage tune and a performance at the flip of a switch.

we could argue about this all day, lets just argue LS7 vs Ford GT 5.4s/c, another case where an L-series cant take much more with out blowing like an f-ing grenade.... can the top L-Series do this???????? i cant take the boost, or the power 1000+rwhp on a stock engine heads down---HP twin turbo ford gt

Ok, since you again want to 'compare apples to oranges', let's argue LS7 (non-forged!!!!) vs Ford GT 5.4 (Forged +S/C)... $75K to $150K and a bunch of other X-factors involved when you compare 2 completely different cars.

Luckily for me, this is yet another case when you ask for me to throw the LINGENFELTER TT into the conversation, where we now have two 'equal' cars.

Lingenfelter TT Z06 is the answer to your HP twin turbo ford gt - Need further clarification???

And for what it's worth, that good ol' N/A LS7 Z06 out-everythings that blown $150K ford.
