the drag bags on the gto were set at way too high of ps1 and the tires were set wa too low for street tires, normally the gto launches good but we had badd issues that night.

Like it or not guys a soft *** suspension with IRS and 245s on the rear make for a shitty drag racer. EVERYONE bitches about it.

My dad has an 04 and I know about both the launching and the interior. One is the worst, one is the best, but they kind of balance each other out, hehe.

Any info from the OP on this? I, too, thought the Cobra let out at first, but when I didn't see break lights and it didn't fall buslengths back in like 2 second considering how fast the goat was, I wasn't sure what to think.

Oh and not to hijack the thread but but for I'm not fond of the 99-04 stangs looks or red cars but I like yours caught u.

Something about the black and red really looks good on your car.

this is something i'd never get, always praising about the car you sold, why not just kept it ? either way, i guess you had your reasons and i'd respect that, but looking at what you have right now and compare to what you had,
if you're not happy with the way the car launches, or not happy because you can't even get 2.0 60's with a stockish car, why don't you do anything about it instead of bitching about the car?

sell the car if it doesn't make you happy., if you want to keep it, and since you already know you can't get better than a bad 2.2 60's with it, why not get a couple of DR's and improve your 60' then?, it seems you were crazy for mods before, Dr's can get in/out in around 15min at the track if you don't want to touch the gto other than to get better 60's.

watch the vid again and turn the volume up way loud. u can distinguish between the exhaust notes of the cobra and the gto. after the cobra gets out a couple car lengths, the tone from it goes away and then u only hear the gto. when the gto comes up on the cobra, the sound of the cobra picks up again.

I didnt bitch about anything I just made a statement. Ive run the car twice and got a 13.4 @ 107 mph out of it. I plan on modding just havent done it yet and the only reason I brought up my old car was becasue you said I couldnt drive which my other car proves that I indeed can.

gtslow, a buddy of mine was cutting alot of 1.90-2.00 60 fts. and cutting 1.70-1.80 60 fts on d/r. in his gto. so its not that hard to launch. hes a good driver. but by no means a pro

and if you listen you can hear the cobra still in it when the gto passes him in my first vid,
the gto is fixed now and will launch good again,

ahh gtos are heavy i think the turn out would have been better if it were an f-bod


but the cobra was badass
i think either the cobra let off or the gto sprayed
