2991 lbs making 205 hp- 200 lb/ft vs. 3317 lbs making 260 hp- 302 lb/ft. I've seen very similar times from both cars at the track running factory stock......usually low to mid 14s. It's not that far out there. Sub-300 hp V8's are rapidly becoming game for lighter, decently powered sixxers and 4 bangers at an alarming rate. Like it or not.

If you look closely the mustang lays marks through 1st.
The cobalt must of had a pretty good driver. My friend has an 03 gt and he pulls like 14.4-14.6's and it is completely stock. I thought the SS cobalts were suppose to pull mid to high 14's stock? hmmm.
Actually, i took the car to the track once, and ran a 15.1, but, it was 90 something degrees, the car had about 500 miles on it and i was still learning to drive it. I guess what was funnier than that, was the other ss/sc out at the track that night running 16's...
