No I won't lie to you and say that I run low 9's. But I am a contender for mid 10's.

I already dynoed the new motor with the t88, now it's time to do it with the air to water setup. We can go to the track, or run it on the street. It's up to you. So where are your pics.
I'm still looking for the 20,000 dollar setup.

The only thing 25psi rides is his boyfriends... I'm sure you can figure out the rest. (I'm not talking about his boyfriend's car, either)

I had till some jerk totalled it a 1992 240sx with the jap sr20det that I bought the half box (clip) for and it cost me 4500.00 not including shipping or install for stock it was 220 horse with 300 torque. fitting that into my 240 that weighed 2200 pounds was a big change. The way he can beat you is easy. if he changed the downpipe to 3 inch, bigger gate, and ups the boost to 19 psi he will be at 380 horses to the rear in a 2200 pound car and it will give you one hell of a run But thats the SR20DET not sr20. the sr20 only came with 190 horse so you will stomp him. look at his motor and if the valve cover is red its an sr20 and you will hand him his ****.. if its black its an sr20DET and you better hope he is an idiot..

As a 240 owner, and a previous owner of an SR20 Sentra, I can tell you a few things about the SR20DET.
SR = engine family (inline four)
20 = 2.0L
D = DOHC
E = EFI
T = turbocharged
These motors were never available in the states, and have to be purchased from overseas. It is also the most common swap for a 240sx. As such, there are a lot of slow sr20 powered 240s, and a lot of fast ones as well.
As for the motor, it will take around 450 whp on stock internals. You basically purchase one for $1700 (with trans, ecu, harness, etc), throw it in your car (no modification required to bolt it in), buy a large turbo, and turn up the boost.
That being said, if it's a stock Redtop SR20DET he will probably run a high 13 to low 14. If he has 300 whp you can expect low 13s high 12s, and if he's making 400 whp you can expect high 11s low 12s.
Good luck with the race. The guy sounds like a cocky punk. Let us know how it goes.

I had a 91 240SX 5 Speed with the KA24DE and I always looked for Turbo's but they cost more then I paid for the car .
They can look good and be fast when modded right though, I have seen the SR20's handle alot of boost, good for around 280- 340rwhp on an already light as hell car, I believe mine was around 2700lb stock.
Strip that car down some pounds to around 2500, put some stickies on there and with 340 or so rwhp you have yourself a car. Rwd posse too.
Im not stickin up for them, but modding a 240SX makes much more sense then modding some other imports....well, most of them .
