You're right. Apparently most came with a 3.0 v6 with an option for the 3.5. The 3.5 had diff heads than the 350z though.

There's never been an optional engine either. It was either a 3.0 (until '02 or '03 I believe), or a 3.5.

Nice kill, OP.

I never feel like I've wasted my gas when someone tells me they want to take a shot at an LS1, especially if they're talking trash. I don't care if it's a bone stock 87 Civic; if they honestly want to give it a go, then representing the LS1 makes me happy.

My bro in law has a 2002 maxima. It was the 3.0 until 2001 then in 02 they got the 3.5 wich is the same exact VQ35de as in the 350z,g35, v6 altimas etc....No different heads, same engine just in a fwd platform unlike the rwd platform in the z. either way its a waste of gas for an ls1 lol

I always thought it would be funny to slap one of the single turbo kits into a Altima 3.5 and put slicks on it. It would look so stupid and ricey yet surprise sooo many people. At least from a roll LOL. It would be a darn death trap.

Very true I used to own an '03 3.5 altima (auto) and Id surprise the **** outta alot of mustang guys lol. My buddy had a 98 GT bone stock with a flowmaster exhaust and he would always get me off the line but id always reel his *** in on the top end! he couldnt beleive that a lil 3.5 walked his 4.6 lol. One thing I completely hated tho was the damn torque steer when taking off hard from a dead stop....i mean that **** was nasty, one time i almost hit a curb because i didnt have both hands on the wheel

yep and also a couple 04-06 maximas w/custom turbo kits that ive seen in mags. No company makes a kit for any 3.5 altima or maxima but nowadays with money anything is possible
