a lot of options. a cobra can simply be heat soaked and run like sh*t. My cobra would run like champ like 3-4 runs and then it would fall on its face cuz it would get so hot and i would get beat by other car that i beat consistently. My car at track would not trap any faster than 115mph on heat soaked motor. on 85 degrees weather, first run 120mph trap, then 119mph trap and then another 119mph trap, i hot lapped twice and i trapped 112mph and 115mph with the same driving.

go race tomorrow and see what happens.

FaSnakes had a aftermarket HUGE Intercooler/ Heat exchanger, wouldn't that help with heat soaking? Plus when we ran, It was 2am. Like 48 degrees.

Hey JD Z28 if you were closer i have a Cobra right around the block from me for you to race.. no popping hoods or mod lists just bring your ***... P.S. my old 03 Cobra raped everything i raced dig or roll.. and i only had 3000 dollars into it. I have had vettes, camaros and trans ams.. they do not compare.

It gets annoying when you talk all you do is bring down Fords

We actually thought about that before the race so we waited about a hour and a half to let the cars cool down before we raced.

you just dont stop do you. another thing to consider is that a 2.76 pulley is over spinning a stock eaton big time. those pulleys make good tourque but arent the best in the upper rpms they create a lot of heat. unported blower i wouldnt run anything more than a 2.93 .

Maybe Amazons dyno reads high? IDK. I know it's not the norm, but that particular night the cobra lost. Six times. Im friends with the owner and we were both shocked to say the least. He was on Nitto DR and I was on F1's.

as i said, a lot can happen. cobra driver simply leaving on wrong gear would get him killed or running rich and not knowing it. people tunes these cars anmd then they change their intake to some other intake or they change their exhaust and that effects their A/F ratio. stock Z vs. healthy pullied cobra (cars, not drivers) is simpy should end with cobra winning. I have done it more than 2 times, here this video shows it and i think Z driver was shifting just fine from a roll. those who losts against a stock Z are either needed driver mod or not running healthy. call it ricer excuse but it is the truth. a stock Z can beat a pullied cobra and i believe it since anything can happen on the streets but that doesn't mean car vs car stock Z > pullied cobra or drivers race.

My best friend has an 03 cobra, full boltons, solid axle. He was on a 3.0 pully I believe making in the 450 area somewhere. He put on a 2.9 I believe and it heatsoaked the **** out of the motor and it ran worse times.

Like I said in another post. We started at 40mph and both of us were in 2nd gear. Tomorrow I will be able to determine with is faster after I run my friends pullied Cobra. If I do loose I don't have a problem coming on here and telling everyone that a pullied Cobra is faster than a stock Z06.

lol wtf? there are thousands of cobras out there running on 2.9 / 2.7 pulley and running very good times. tell your buddy to let the car cool some before runs.
