looks like you and a healthy running ported cobra would be a nice race. noty untill 170mph. a pullied cobra has ***** to go 180mph. I bet your car can go more than that.

i dunno boosting a cobra in 5th and 6th gear aint really a good idea. thats when sh*t hits the fan. unless its got updates heads and some cooling mods.

1 year ownership and i never shifted to 5th gear while racing. point was already proven at the end of 4th gear, i was either losing or winning.

yeap. at the top of 4th your hammerin pretty good anyway. and like you said your points been proven your ahead or behind no real reason to go any further other than thrill seaking

you just dont stop do you. another thing to consider is that a 2.76 pulley is over spinning a stock eaton big time. those pulleys make good tourque but arent the best in the upper rpms they create a lot of heat. unported blower i wouldnt run anything more than a 2.93 .
Techinically the stock pulley is "overspinning" the max rpm of the blower. But a 2.76 pulley is not going to creat "that" much heat or crap out in the higher rpms. My 2.75/4lb combo still makes power all the way to 6200 before it even levels off.
Blasphamy, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. A 3.0 and 2.9 pulley is a difference of maybe .5lb of boost.
Your car runs good times man but unless you find somebody who payed some extreme markup prices 3k on these cars is going to show you some tail lights. I have less than $2500 in my car without selling off old parts and the times are in my sig....

I had 1k in my car without selling the old mods and i ran 11.3. <<<<<<< True story, almost every parts were used, installed by friends or by me.

Nice video. Props to both drivers for racing to see the outcome. The Cobra had the horsepower advantage but the Vette is so much lighter. An 03 vert tips the scales right about 4000lbs. What is a Z06? About 3200? That is like the Cobra toting around three extra 250+lb passengers. Power vs weight I think it was a good matchup. In the first race the Cobra was obviously spinning like mad so I don't see any grip advantage.

true story +2. i had done the same thing you did, whole pulley swap thing, totally had NO problems wit MANY cars....
I raced a Stage 3 AWE audi s4 putting down around 500AWHP, racing from a roll he got me but by a car,....makes sense since most pullied cobras put down 450RWHP and his car actually had dyno sheets to prove it makes 500AWHP and i never dynoed my car ever. email tune from RWTD.
we were also around the same weight as well so really it makes sense with a bit more tuning like you had, that race could have been some what more even and i would have stayed by his door.
03 cobras are something else, there not god gift to cars, but its is america closest anserew to the supra with what you can do witht hem for less then HALF what it takes with a surpa.
