Granted my runs were at a lower speed 25-100 if you were going faster than that then maybe it would be a little different but dog walking one in your stock 98 means one of 2 things: either he wasn't racing, or he couldn't drive. I'm not trying to call you guys out or say your lying or anything but me and gator have tested this truck and know how fast it is. Its no slouch and your definately not going to dog-walk or even walk one stock, it would be more of a edging one out.
its kind of hard to nmot be able to drive an AT.... i dont really get that one.. and HELL NO it wouldnt edge one out... i straight up put an *** whooping on him... i would consider 4 or 5 plus lengths from 50 to about 120 an *** whooping.. and yes i was close damn enough to stock. SLP LM lid... thats it.. and YES HE WAS RACING.. im not ricer.. if he wasnt racing i would of put more than 6 or so on him.. it would have been like 20 or more... he was still WOT when he came past me after i hit the brakes.. and still wanted to race some more.. but we were in town by that point..

MAYBE.. only MAYBE from a dig in the 1/8 it would be a close race.. anything beside that.. roll.. quarter.. any of it.. its no race.. period..

well for one. no it probably is NOT.. and two.. i was racing.. like actually climbing in speed.. along with a few others.. your bench racing.. going off well my cars is.. and his car was. so probably he would.......

Well I did say that it was short runs we made. Did you read that? I cleary said "Granted my runs were at a lower speed 25-100" . And the Reg cabs are 6 speeds not AT's. What were you racing a quad cab? That would explain alot. Did he have kids in the back and possibly pulling a boat or a trailer?

i raced a bolt on viper truck, and i started behind him at a red light and still went around him after playing catch up from spinning through first and second in my 01 camaro ss conv. at the time i had no stall.

i tried running one today but the guy was being stuck up or somthing i woulda busted his *** if you did pretty much stock

25-100... 50-120.. looks like my run was shorter...??? pulling a boat or a trailer? racing with kids?? wtf are you on... and as stated before the singles are what? 2 lengths at MAX in front on a quad.. it still wouldnt have mattered... if your talking about one that is modded. start your own thread.. THIS WAS STOCK FOR STOCK... so yes you are bench racing on this one.. i could care less if a 900 hp viper t beat a ls2 gto. or anything else for that matter.. if you didnt like a stock ls1 slaughtering an srt10... you shouldnt have came in here..

no reason for you to be a jerk to people, especially when they are right. no bone stock ls1 will slaughter a bone stock reg cab srt10, if they do its because of driver error on the truck side, so that prob explains your story dude missed a gear, thats why he did a fly by and wanted to run again cause he knew he messes up and could prob take you or at least be even!

My car had an airlid. Sue me.

Four cars from a dig and two-three cars from a roll. Yes he can drive, assume away though. Maybe 4 cars from a roll, or two to three from a roll isn't dog walking, but I definitely was ahead at the end.

The same guy honestly gave me a better run in his 03 GT. (Lt's, ORH, Flowmaster catback)

EDIT: met the guy today.. pretty cool guy.. hes bone stock and it is a quad.. thought it was a reg. but it happen so quick i really wasnt paying attention. and yes he was racing the whole time. he said hes raced two other ls1s.. one had a lid and the other was bone stock. him vs. lid (at 3.23).. from a dig-100 ls1 got him by 3 1/2.. from a 40 roll-135 ls1 by about 6 he said.. him vs stock (6 speed) from a dig he said it was anout even till about 60 then from 60 to 120 the ls1 gained about 2.. from a 50 roll they ran twice ls1 by 5 each time..

hmm.. so i guess this is about the norm? 7 lengths for me would be about right.. being i had exhaust.. and my car ran better than most stock... but i guess his was a POS and he was pulling a trailer with his work buddies with him and a party in the boat with 12 kegs of bear on a full tank and he half throttled it... wtf..

they arent that fast. not at all from a roll... im sure from a dig he wouda put up a better fight.. but from 60 up i woulda started walking him pretty hard..

o and he said he was just having fun in town.. he said he knew i wouldnt race cause there was a van about two lengths in front of me the whole time. he was just dicking around.....
so.. damn sucks... i guess srt10 trucks are fast cause of the name.. pieces of ****... lock the ******* thread and suck my dick nonbelievers..

You being a jerk no your a real nice guy. All I said is that your not going to dog walk one and posted my past experiences and why I thought so and what yellowsierra was trying to say and you came out swinging. Being defensive would be an understatement. Just a little FYI A quad cab is going to be quite a bit slower than a reg cab for 2 reasons they weigh more, and they are Auto's. Don't believe me (which I'm sure you don't) look it up.
And you should get banned for that last comment. That's just immature and uncalled for. Grow up boy.

and when did it come to be that something is faster just because its a manual? thats wierd.. john forces manuals.. yea.. avereage.. nah.. why would i not believe that they would be faster having a lot less truck.. i already knew this.. you added no useful info.. if this was a thread about them being modded.. yes.. but it wasnt.. it was about stock ones.. i dont care what modded ones run against your buddies gto that was stock and when you and him raced you won and he lost bad against the truck.. or whatever the story was.. it doesnt matter...

and also the comment about since it was a 98.. either a he wasnt racing or whatever. since when is a 98 bus lengths behind any other year.. stock i was outrunning other 98s up to 02.. manual and six speed.. stock to small cams and bolt ons.. that means nothing..

Some people here are forgetting aerodynamics. The SRT10 truck is damn brick. A heavy, very heavy damn brick. Even with the advertised 500HP they are handicapped. These were marketed to "compete" with OTHER TRUCKS people!

A stock LS1 with 315-320RWHP will beat a stock SRT10. You cannot defy physics. Now if you SUCK behind the wheel thats another story!

kinda hard to suck with an A4.. lol.. it doesnt matter.. people are gonna believe whatever they want.. i happen to believe that the srt10 trucks are pretty slow.. maybe on a gt level.. not a drivers race.. but its whatever i guess.. it takes a 550 hp reg. cab stalled truck to barely nose a stock ls1.. but i guess its the name again.........srt

have you not been paying attention... inertia.. gravity.. physics.. weight.... none.. and i mean NONE of this applies to the srt vehicles.. damn dude... keep up with the thread.. lol
