Thought I was going to get a compliment, apparently not. We go from a dig at a light, and I spanked him pretty bad. He hung through first and a little bit of 2nd, but started fading behind pretty bad by 3rd. Had a good 6-7 cars on him by top 4th, I think he gave up after that. Nice kill.
Its funy how Evo **** think that their cars are untouchable, its a damn lancer economy car with upgrades. They are some of the cockiest drivers on the road, I love kicking their asses.

if you want i'll scan the final reciept for my car if you like. TTL it was 32,000 out the door. car had 30 miles on it. the only option i could have added was the SSL package which had leather sunroof and upgraded stereo. that option was 3,000 and i turned it down as it makes the car heavier. and if you get a RS model from the evo 8 series new it was 27,900. the MR edition was the 35k model you all are thinking about. and ironically it wasn't the fastest... the RS is the fastest in a straight line. the evo 9 which was only available as an 06 had the MR which was again in the 35-36k range... they had the GSR which was 30-32k, and the RS which again was cheaper (but sometimes asked more as it was faster and very rare).
for the evo 10, yes they are very expensive... you can option them out to over 40k. they are bigger, heavier, and slower then the 8 and the 9.
thats what a c6 Z06 with H/C making 600whp thought when he raced me and saw my tails through 4th gear where we let off. and all that in a modded evo that total price included all the mods is still less then a base C6 vette. oh and my car is at 65k miles stock block, tranny, transfercase ecu etc etc etc... never had a problem with it.

kevind, you beat a 600whp in your Evo? Better give some details. Otherwise, he wasn't racing.

The comment you are posting in reference to was about the typically "cocky" attitude that most evo owners have and in paticular the one that the post was started about. Your just reinforcing that viewpoint with the trolling.

details: i have a stock block, stock head, stock head studs, stock ecu.
gt35r turbo, giant intercooler, intercooler pipes, hks 272 cams, turbo back exhaust (no cat), methanol injection, bigger injectors, and all the other bolt ons you can do. car made 500whp on a relatively conservative tune at 28psi stopping at 7000rpm (it will rev to 8000 and hold torque solid at 400ftlb @the 30psi i'm at now... you do the math). i've got a new boost gauge that will read over 28psi now, so i'll be tuning for more. the car is daily driven and gets 23mpg.
oh and i own a business tuning/wrenching evos so i do this every day...
the z06 did say he had traction issues from the 3rd gear rolls.

End of the day the vette driver is driving a vette and the evo driver is driving an evo. I dont care which one is faster, id rather drive the vette, although i do also like evos.
