unless he was a horrible driver, even if he was he would still have over 100rwhp on you and that would be very hard to pull a car like that.

.. Hmm, I agree that the op is full of crap unless the Cobra was N/A regardless of driver.
But I do believe that LT1s are still strong motors, and can make good #s if ya want 'em to!
Hell, LS1s belong in the junkyard now too. I mean.. LSSEVEN? Come on now.
But I will be realistic, I'd rather shove 12 grand into my LS1 then spend 12 grand on lS7.

amen to that, id rather spend 12 grand on my LT1 then an LS1 just because everyone hears LT1 and automatically thinks its slow.

the way i see it is the LT1 in an fbody is like the GT mustang. everyone knows it a nice platform but when they here its just a GT or just a LT1 they think ohh it cant be that fast. only LS1's and mach1's and cobra's kinda thing are fast. everyone under estimates the LT, just like the GT, but i do think the LT deserves a little respect as it does hang pretty well with fords brand new GT.

Why are you guys arguing?

Everyone knows, the only thing an LT1 can't beat is an LS1.

I'd take a cammed LT1 instead of a FI GT (2004 and older) anyday.
