Who pissed in your Wheaties this morning? Just becase i post a "what if" thread doesnt mean im some 16 year old kid who cant drive. Ive raced quite a few 99-04 stangs and an 01 cobra, and put a pretty good hurting on all of them. Thanks for the negativity though

I walked away from a new gt 5spd over 70mph but not by THAT much when i was stock. Stall and mods will help you

wise words i ran a 04ish mach 1 the first week i got my car and went a gear higher then i should from the roll...it was a 70 roll and i was in 4th we went up to just over 100, we ended up even but i ran into him again a couple days ago and same run but went to 3rd and i had a few cars

please own his ***, i beat 3 new GT's in my 02 Z28 when it was stock, and 2 of them had intake/exhaust/programmer.....so please just own

 

then they needed the driver mod. i beat a few stock ls1s when i only had those mods. and ran a 13.0 @107

 

Real racing is from a dig. Take it to a track if you have one close by. I wouldn't be too worried about breaking something on the street, but anything is possible.

 

Sounds like the stock ls1's you raced needed the driver mod. See? It can go either way.

 

How many stock LS1s have you seen go under 13.0? And 107mph is a pretty healthy trapspeed too

I AGREE AS WELL AND IT SEEMS LIKE ALOT OF THE GUYS WHO ROLL RACE ARE THE ONES SAYING OHHH YEA THE 6 SPEED IS THE ****, BLAH BLAH BLAH WHEN THEY CANT EVEN LAUNCH THE CAR. SHOULDA BOUGHT AN AUTO IF YOU ARE A NO DRIVIN BASTARD. AND JUST FOR THOUGHT I WOULD LOVE A STICK AS EVERY CAR IVE HAD BEFORE THIS ONE WAS A STICK BUT WITH A V8 BEHIND IT A STICK REALLY ISNT ***AS*** NECESARY TO BE FAST.

 

People don't just buy stickshifts to be as fast as they can... there are people who just enjoy "driving" (like me), and an automatic will just never cut it.

 

i totally agree but at the same time if you are going to race your car, and you cant launch, it would probably be smartest to get an auto because its pretty hard to mess up a launch in one. and believe me if i had the choice i woulda got a stick but some people will use the fact that they have a 6 speed like a ricer excuse. and if youre gunna start using ricer excuses youre better off getting an auto. **** id rather be made fun of for winning with an auto then losing with a 6 speed cause of driver error and using some ricer excuse.
