+1 I have beaten my share of stock ls1's with my tuned 07 Stang. This is Ls1 tech, those that have lost to an s197 will never admit it.I have also been beat by stock ls1's,at least I have a few vids to back up my claim.

I totally agree I have drove manual cars my whole life and wouldn't want anything else. I like the feeling of having total control of my ride.

Uh... you are aware that with your mods you would still be a good race against a stock M6 LS1 car?? A few S197 guys have gone 12s with CAI/TUNE...don't get me wrong... but to say mod for mod it's equal..please.

actually with my mods i could go 1st,3rd,5th and rape stock ls1s but i agree intake, exhaust, tune s197 is about equal to m6 ls1 cars! i noticed in your sig you say you trapped 108 stock do those traps at that track read high lol. the fastest ive seen a stock ls1 SS trap was 105 but if not thats awesome

Plenty of LS1's have trapped 107+. I do agree kenny, intake/exhaust/tune would be enough to take down some LS1's, while some will take you down. Every car is different along with every driver.

My bad I skipped your sig and thought you were running CAI/Tune only... haha yeah you would have no troubles.

I trapped 108 literally bone stock and the factory tires had 65,000miles on them (sitting on the wearbars)... Otherwise we are talking good old paper air filter, and typical 2.1 60ft. My worst trap that day was 107 and my best 108... I am far from the only one who has seen traps like that, several others have posted results similar including muscle mustangs and fast fords.

lol mustve been racing a jacked up ls1 cuz there isnt anyway he'd slowly be reeling him in at 100. i will agree though the new auto mustangs leave the line hard. only time i lost to one was at the track slept at the light then missed third and said screw it and let out.

I had a few 105 passes earlier in the summer but they were me trying to leave the line at near idle and bogging on my launch. Once I tried the 'Evan Smith'/'Ranger' method (that everyone else uses apparently) I started trapping really well.

2200rpm and slipping the clutch out nice and smooth...
