In HS a kid had a talon and called out all the fast cars, he called out the one with the biggest mouth which was an 02 GT. Well the kid started modding the **** out of his Talon and he couldn't get it ready. One night out my friend in his 98 Trans Am caught up with himk and they raced... the stock trans am beat the living **** out of this turd

He just sounds like a dumbass 17 yr old punk. Tell him you want to race for fun to see where everything lines up. I don't see the point in the "calling out" and money bullshit. Leave the money stuff for the track in a sanctioned event.

with my experiences with owning 4 dsms. its not the turbo that matters its the tuning and the supporting mods. there are 1g dsms running low 11s on the factory 14b turbo. but being that he is only 17 unless he really knows his **** i would just get a good set of tires. but some are factory freaks my bone stock 90 gsx 5 speed ran a 14.2 at 93 with a 1.7 60 ft.

according to my friend setting up the race, she's driven with him and said when he nails it she feels like the car is forcing her into the trunk, then again, most girls have low tolerance for that ****. I'd like to get at least a cutout and some Drs before I go at it...

all i was told was 1990 talon, AWD, 16g, and 19lbs of boost...she said he's a good driver...then again, most girls who don't have a clue about how to drive stick think that anyone bangin the gears is good, even if the car is jerkin like a ************...

exactly, it is for cash. This kid is only 17, so whether he knows what he's doing as far as car modding is debatable. My one buddy had a 650hp talon and it was FWD...****** moved out, but had no traction whatsoever...He had the ***** to tell me to run from a dig and he'd give me 10 cars...This means A. His car is really stout and fast...B. His car is fast, be he is cocky...or C. He has no clue WTF he is doing and thinks his car is hot ****.

he prob has a bigger turbo or something if he wants to give you that many cars. i had a friend with a 97 gst it had a 18g on it and would be run right next to cam only bolt on ls1's.
i wouldnt recommend racing him until you have some more mods and you need a converter and nittos before anything else.

yea, I don't plan on racing him until i get a couple of things. My buddy with his c5 is racing him this week. I've raced the c5 in my car, so this should give me a decent gauge of where I stand. c5 is an M6, catback, intake, and 3.73s...(some other ***** goin on it this week, but he won't tell me what)...and its an FRC vette.

I say race him now, you will probably win. Based on what he has told you he is the typical 17 year old. Guys putting up good time on 16G cars are running more than 19 PSI. He would have to be one of those guys to spot you 10 cars (lol) and think he can still beat you.

my friend had an turbo awd talon. it ran about 12.9ish. they are pretty quick. I would think you could take him though now depending on if he can drive or not. but, If I was in your situation i'd put a converter in it before I started spraying.
