Default Got me a C5 Vette

So im cruising to Auto Zone with my buddy to return an 02 sensor i didnt need, when i notice some hid's in my rear view, my buddy alerts me its a C5, We get side by side i lay a rev out so he knows im not stock, we ran twice

First run from about 50 in second, we hit it at the same time i pull hard up to about 125 by about 3 cars

Second run from about 55, he jumps on the second beep and gets a good car length, i reel him in by the end of 3rd and hit 4th and pass a good car and a half as he shuts her off at about 130

now my question is....what kinda mods did he have? I know vettes pull hard up top, but i was really surprised, he definately sounded modded, but again i was happy as im sure he thought it was going to be a walk in the park

Well, you have a similar setup to mine only I'm running through a 12-bolt and heavy drivetrain. That said, my buddy with a MS3-cammed C5 is a dead even run for me, so I would guess this guy had full bolt-ons or maybe a small cam.

Hard to tell without knowing your power, though, but I bet my guess would be pretty accurate. Nice kill.

thanks man, ya he sounded cammed, uhm i put down 383 and 373 on a mustang dyno cam only, so with my heads and new exhaust i should be around the 430-440 horse range

Nice kill, OP. I'm not surprised of the results though, that's a strong car you have.

Nice kill. He probably had a cam and/or some bolt-on mods but definitely not at your level. Pulling 3 car lengths at 125 is pretty good and you would have kept walking.

Love the sound man, it definately gives the old school muscle car sound with the dumps.Major Improvement over the loudmouth 1

And thanks hoss2000z28 she is definately a beast and pulls so damned hard throughout the rpm range, the heads really compliment my cam well
