My first 05+ Mustang GT
I've been wanting to run one for a while, never seemed to get the chance... always got the V6's for some reason (not that I raced em, it's all I could find).
I was on the highway on my way home last night and what do you know, a GT came up beside me and I heard him downshift, next thing I know he's egging me on by goosing forward. Well well well, looks like I get to play after all! He most certainly had an exhaust, as it was louder then a stock GT for sure, not sure if anything else -- doubt it however.
I get him to slow down to about 60... I downshifted to third and waited. The second I saw him hit it I followed suit. I immediately starting pulling. The tach zipped right up to redline with him falling further and further behind. I banged it hard into fourth and it was a sealed deal. By the time I shut it down around 110-115 he was a good 3 cars back, if not more.
I slow back down to the speed limit and he comes back up to me. We exhanged nods and once again he wanted to go. I happily obliged, and once again the same result. I let him catch back up and gave him a wave as my exit was coming up. Next thing I know he takes off -- there is ANOTHER GT stang up ahead. As I'm getting off my exit I see the two of them starting to line up and take off! Sounded sweet!
I really want to find another one and get it from a stop or a low low roll, as I hear thats where these cars are their strongest. Ahh well can't complain, it was a fun race.

ya when were stock were def. more stout from low speeds because of the lack of pwr to pull thru the long 3.31 and 3.55 gears. but once modded we wake up nicely lol

I've raced 2 of them so far, I smoked an automatic one last year twice at a stoplight, with my lightly modded 91 Formula 350 I had, and 2 months ago I pulled a 5spd one on the highway in my T/A...oh yeah both cars cost me a total of $5k including mods, or about $25k less than one new Stang.

Thanks for the comments.
Price should never be a factor when talking about kills. Hell I could be faster then a brand new Z06 but I'd gladly take that car over mine... mods and all (not saying I AM faster obvioiusly, using a scenario). Same goes for any high $$ car vs low $$. The price isn't all about speed... its about alot of other anemities too.

I meant the people that make the argument. Well for $xxx car "A" could do so so mods and it would be faster then car "B" and cost less blah blah blah.
I definately love taking down higher $$ cars...its priceless

Lookin forward to seeing some of you guys canning some dealer tagged 5th gen Camaros when they hit the streets. I'm sure everyone's gonna want a piece of them....and I'm sure more than a few of those 5th gen drivers are gonna want a piece of the rest of us too. Should be fun
