If the Cobra had more agressive gearing it would've fared better.

Sure would have. I bet the Camaro would have fared better if the Cobra hit a cow too. See how that works.

Nice runs nonetheless.

All I'm saying is when the 01 Cobra's are known for they're high rpm top end pull. From 3rd gear on they're pretty strong but on the low end not as impressive. Thus why the Mach 1's were "quicker" on average stock vs stock.

Cool daytime vid, I found on Youtube a couple of months ago. The Mach was strong, but remember guys both Stangs had more mods than the LS1.

x-cal tune + o/r mid pipe = lose of power , the Mach would have ran better w/ the stock tune and no passenger.
But we could do the "what if" game all day, bottom line is that 4v mustangs and LS1 f-bodys are a fun race to watch
Hopefully the Mustang vs Camaro battles will live forever.

And neither Mustang had headers... we're talking intake, X-pipe, and catback/mufflers. Big deal. Videos like this show just how close the cars really are.

Nice runs, got to love close races like that they always keep you on the edge of your seat. You know the kind were your pushing the gas pedal through the floor and your still side by side.

The 32V Cobra's are quick, no doubt.
An O2 LS1 is as good as it gets stock for basic LS1 Fbodies.
Even so, the Cobra is a 01 and it has more mods, and it got pulled.
Bottom line.

Is it impossible for you to just say "good runs?" You talk **** about Mustang guys for "picking apart" races, but that's exactly what you're doing right now.
