Don't know where you are goin with the date bit.. I got a girl..

As far as the Car goes.. yea he could have a Vette..not hatin on that, but he decided to put it up with that "it's a Corvette..nothin can touch it" attitude and got his *** pwned in the performance aspect of it..plain and simple.

You sound like a person that I happen to know in Little Rock as well..he got his Vette pwned by the Mullet Machine too..

well i got respect for you and your project. as does the entire lt1 crowd in the lt1/lt4 forum. you started your project the same time i started mine and ive watched all your progress and will continue to. and no matter how fast your car is (not you but in general) there's always someone faster. and those people usually have a good bit more money. i have upmost respect for budget builds and yours is hands down the nastiest ive seen.

Yup.. there is always someone faster, and yes money is the name of the game.

You worded it exactly right my friend.. mine is just a budget build, just a simple combo of parts and some good hard labor. Basically it's a toy with the idea of "I want to try this.."behind it.

In all reality it was goin to be a LS1, but once I figured out that I can put in better.. I went parts shoppin and got ahold of some good stuff for cheap.

Then it basically turned into how fast can I go for what little I have invested..

I think it's doin alrite..

Traction always helps huh....and no I'm not the person with the vette you're referring too....I used to have a slow Ws6 and now I've got an even slower GTO.

I know it's not you..this person happens to say the same thing you did..he has a different screen name so I knew it wasn't you.

What's traction.. I haven't found that yet..

Hmmm. As a Z06 owner I'm wondering how you do this "pretty easy". You weigh more, your rubber is inferior though you do have a few more ponies.

Pretty easy? I'm gonna need some proof...

He's already done it at least once that I can remember. rubber is inferior? LMAO. the stock runcraps on the ZO6 definitely are nothing to brag about.

He can run non-stock tires but the Z boys can't? There are more than a few that are in the 10's JUST by replacing the run-flats.

You never said what his rubber was inferior to
Yes he is running street tires (I'm pretty sure), but still much better than the stock runcraps on say your ZO6.

Sarge, you're assuming and you shouldn't. See, he can't fit 325's under his fenders (neither can you). Maybe you should be demoted to private.

I wouldn't do it because I wouldn't have the need to. Neither car is fast enough to where I need a tire that wide. With the plans for the Cobra I have however...
details on your setup would be oh so nice

Given your rides I'm surprised you've not yet needed better rubber. My Cobra couldn't stay planted w/ 315 drag radials and it was a lower-powered Whipple built for the quarter mile. When you build your Cobra you'll wish for Fred Flintstone-sized meats.

As far as the Z is concerned, even at stock power it can abuse the Bridgestones it's wearing. You're spot-on re: the run-flats - they may not stick but at least they're goddamn LOUD. Down the road I may decide to Lingenfelter the bastard but, honestly, it's quite a ride the way it is.

My Car was on Slicks.. MT ET STREETS, 26X11.5X17 mounted on 17X9.5 Corvette Z06 Rims.

The Vette owner agreed to race me with them on..

Both of my cars are stock...well at least as stock as Cobra's come
Just a cat-back and a tune. Already ordered the KB 2.8 and trying to finish the deal with a guy for a SRA
Then I'll need some more meat out back
