LT1 Vs 306
Last year when I ran 12.1 to your 11.79 (we will go ahead and round it up to 11.8 lol) yes your car was quicker in the 1/4th mile. This year I actually have a clutch that will hold the power so my mph should jump up some and the ET will come down. So if your car still runs what it did then I think its safe to say that my car on street tires now will outrun your car on DRs.
However on the street it would be absolutely no contest.

See our cars are built COMPLETELY for different reasons. My car is actually setup for roll races. Not that I like them (I actually think they are stupid) but since I drive the car every day I'm more likely to run up on someone that wants to race going on the highway at about 50mph. So the car has 3.27 gears and stiff suspension.
Most people would consider the nitto a street tire. Unlike drag radials they behave well in the rain, they last 15000 to 20000 miles instead of the normal 5000 you get out of the others, and they don't hook near good enough to be a true drag radial.

I sure wish I knew where you were from Stopsign... I would like to break your streak of not losing to an LS1... oh and to a female driver at that...
BTW.. good kill OP

I know. I'm just tryingto get under stopsigns skin simce he said roll racing is stupud yet he does it.
Thats a 10 page thread 12 sec "stockers"... more than a few have straight boltons/good gears/driver/weight reduction.
Oh and before I get flamed my boy has a 93 speed density formula w/ 144,000 miles on it w/ full exhaust, cutout, chip, intake... and that thing LUMPS up on blue ovals pretty good.....
I have vids Im almost tempted to post in this kill section, but being a Ford guy I don't want to threadjack towards the bowtie way.
At the same token, that car had to work until 90mph to barely come around my factory stock 1991 GT convertible w/ 3.08 stock gears.
wow...ur r the biggest idiot ford guy ive heard of...where r u from so u can race the LT1 and prove urself....do u have timeslips..or do 5.0s even keep them since they try and try to break 13s.....i bet u have a wall of all ur good timeslips wishing and hopin u can beat an f body....well ill let u down easy man....its not gonna happen...sorry...just move on and go to a mustang forum...wait make that a honda forum cuz the way u talk ur just a ricer....ull get along with those hondas...
Dude...listen closely. The 5.0 is a 131,000 mile shortblock motor that has the suspension setup for the road and handling. The car will not see anything but 17"-18" wheels on it at the track because I want to see what it runs in street trim. Now I have a 99 Cobra that has been a best of 10.9@126mph in the 1/4th mile and since then it has picked up 2-4rwhp so it should run alittle faster. Hopefully that makes alittle sense to you. If not then I am sorry and have a nice night.

well he does his JOHN FORCE BURNOUT(10min long burnout)...lol...and hes runnin 315s...and i think 18lbs...i cant remember.....he tree'd the hell out of me when he ran a 11.8 @ 113mph and i ran a 12.90 @ 111mph...i 60 ft 2.1s...it sucks...
Yeah man as tyler said I do a pretty good burnout. I start in first then shift into second and hold it for about 5 more seconds, I have gotten my best launches from 1500. They are the 315/35/17s and I run about 20 PSI in them. I know its hard to belive but they have gotten me a few 1.65 sixtys. I wouldn't have belived it if I hadent seen it myself.
Hey mchdg86's WS6 has 134,000 miles on it with a baby cam stock rear end with 3.42s....and is blastin 1.6 60ft times with a 3600 stalled auto...on nitto street radials....u dont stand a chance idiot.....if he throws a 100 shot of nitrous hed probably be in th 10s....so ur cobra wouldnt stand a chance either....by the way do u have pics of these cars and time slips....cuz i think ur full of ****....
