you are talking to someone who knows alot about mustangs
i have owned a 5.slow,a cobra 2,a 2007 mustang gt(the wife made me get it)and i have driven and raced my brothers 04 svt mystichrome cobra which now has a 2.8 pulley cold air catback and tune and is putting about 450 to the wheels
so dont b/s me an ls1 will walk all over any fairly stock mustang beside the 04 cobra anyday

im sure it might make a small little difference
i believe it is aluminum and anytime you run air over aluminum it is cooled off but significant,i dont think so and i highly doubt you have to use octane boost for it
common sense says that is b/s,i dont usually add octane boost for my nitrous i just run 93-94 but he has to have it for a piece of metal that sits there

you are full of it,yeah im sure when you hit that switch it will walk away from a stock ls1,and probably not by much

its a 351W, notchback. it's a bad lil ******. real nice blue but still ugly as hell imo it's a 79? i think.

nice thing w/ the W is theyre cheap as hell to mod just like the 302, since many things are interchangable

The Mach 1 vs ls1 debate has been beat to death. It is common knowledge among people that know that it is a drivers race w/ the edge going to the ls1 @ 100mph+.
Now we all know that no one leaves there cars stock so it's a mute point. Mod for mod the bigger cubes will take over,that why there are so many FI mod motors. That being said , all this BS makes me want to race some of thees almighty ls cars. Any takers??????

go look at the factory stock record for a ls1
i have seen everyday joes busting 12.8 to 12.9 and you are telling me a 13.0 is a big deal
and whats funny is it is probably the same guy that was driving both cars,i cant remember his name but he does alot of those record runs for ford and chevy and holds several records for both companies
