Great vid guys! Looked like a pretty even match. I knew that car had more in it from the last vid Dustin...it's amazing what a little more bottle pressure and 50 more rwhp will do. So has anyone raced older Hayes' gray '03 cobra since he went single turbo? That blue one seems pretty stout too from the specs...

Here is what the cobra has, I was guessing on the HP it made because of how badly he got pulled on by the camaro off the bottle. (which btw the camaro still runs 10.90's off the bottle).
vt stroker short block
3.75 crank, cp 17cc pistons, moly filed rings, manley i beam rods
ported stock heads by vt engines
summit fuel cell
spec stg 3+ clutch
nitrous express wet sytem
2.76 upper pulley
steggy stg 3 ported eaton
catless pipes with magnaflow muffler and custom cat back for solid axle
8.8 solid axle with 3.27 gears and ford trac lock
mt drag slicks
mt et drag fronts
custom sub frame connectors
cars makes 611 rwhp and 752 rwtrq
car runs mid 10's in the 1/4
has an sct flip chip with 4 tunes
1-for pump gas blower only
2-race gas blower only
3-race gas 50 shot nitrous
4-race gas 100shot nitrous
Car is full weight, and i'm guessing the pump gas tune is very conservative.

Who ever said 5,000 to make that evo so fast is tripping hard. I use to have an evo and modifying those things is expensive.
Based on the movie at minimum that car had...
AMS GT37R kit - 5000
AEM EMS -2500 plus like 1000 or more for tunning probably a lot more because it's a E-85 tune.
2.3 stroker block - 4500 not including labor which is a crap load because the engine bay is crammed
AMS Race Heads and I believe it was HKS 280 cams? - 2500
Built tranny and transfer case - 3000
Clutch that can hadle that power exedy tripple plate - 2500
1000cc injectors - 600
exhaust - 1000
and lots of misc stuff at least another few thousand.
That's $22,600 just in parts and that's being conservative. Because honestly their are more parts that are needed and labor for an evo is EXPENSIVE!!
and it runs high 9's probably at best.
That's pretty much why I dont own an evo anymore way too expensive.
But honestly props to you Rob because that is one fast car. I just wouldn't want to spend that much.

$22k to have a semi-reliable 9s car is NOTHING... you're out of your mind to think a modern car can be made that fast for significantly less (minus a GT500). Speed isn't cheap, no matter what you drive.

I guess no one in Oklahoma can drive the damn things then.LOL I have yet to see one hit 11 anything. The guy I know put a good driver ion his after spending a ton of $$$ and got a 12.0 @115. The car was trapping 118ish.

I'm not a big fan of the GT500 for a lot of reasons, but the fact
of the matter is that they can be made to run relatively quick fairly
easily...just bolt ons, ported blower, pulley swap, etc.
We both know that people out there will claim 600rwhp because they
make that on a dyno...once. That's probably on the stock clutch, with
stock tires, a fuel system that's on it's last leg, etc. Then they hit
the track and tell everyone they make 600rwhp and they run a 12.0.
Setup is what counts.
