Default FINALLY went up against a dumdumdumdumdum

So Friday night there was a big cruise in for a local charity. My car was filthy and I was busy washing the LS7 TA in my possession so I wasn't going to the car show, but figured whatthehey, might as well go bust a cruise.

Now ever since I had my old TA on juice I have wanted to race an 03 or newer Cobra. But never ran into one, they are suprisingly rare around here.

I heard of this Orange Cobra out playing with some people last weekend and wished I could meet up with him. Well to my suprise, I see him driving around. He paces me for a bit and finally we head out of town to race. He doesn't want to go from a dig and, frankly, I don't blame him. So we go from a slow roll 10-15MPH.

Right off the jump he stuck with me the whole way through 1st and around halfway through 2nd. Then at the top of 2nd I started pulling him and continued my pull through 4th putting around 4-5 cars on him. I'm not good at judging carlengths but I could see his whole car in my rearview.

I was very suprised because if anything I figured I would have pulled him down low and he would have kept pace up top. Oh well.....

Lil ole LT1 - 1
dumdumdumdumdum - 0

EDIT: Forgot to add, his mods: Pulley, Tune, CAI, Catback

ME: Stock bottom end, LE2 heads, LE2.2 Cam, LE ported intake, 58mm TB, 36lb injectors, M6, Dana 60 w/ 4.10's, Full BMR suspension, rollin on 315 Nittos, finding gears at 6400

Damn... a Dana 60 on a stock bottom end LT1? That's overkill if I've ever heard it. Good kill though, those Terminators are tough.

It's not overkill when I have went through 3 rear ends and am pushing over 400 RWHP WITHOUT the nitrous.

Oh and the fact that I have a forged bottom end LT1 in the works that is getting a LE3 cam, single plane intake, and a big dual stage shot planned for it.

I plan ahead and make sure I only have to buy things ONCE. LOL

Yeah, you'll probably never need another rear end... lol. I was just saying that because they're heavy as hell, and typically only used for 900+ rwhp. Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather have that than my 10 bolt... just seems that a 9" would be a lot more reasonable for your application.

How big of a shot did you run and why is this "dumdumdum" thing showing up for an 03 Cobra now? What word did you use that got replaced? This **** is getting a little old and obnoxious to whoever is making these changes to car names. Every time I see it, I think the poster is talking about an S R T 4, but every time I see it, it ends up being something different. Cut it the hell out, mods; it was funny for like the first week.

I WILL be running a 150 shot. But I have yet to spray the car. I raced the Cobra all motor, no spray.

But, when I get the motor built I am most likely going to run a 150/150 dual stage.

i don't really mind the dumdum thing but like with this thread i was thinking it was an s r t 4. why not just make one for each blocked word like they did before. wasnt s r t 4 automatically changed to "NEON" before the whole dumdum thing?

It's not a person each time it's edited. vBulletin (that runs this site and many other forums) is able to filter content and replace one word with another, hence term-y = dumdum...

You want to talk about dumb. A local Ga site chooses to edit every fowl word (is *** a fowl word?) with bad wordbad wordbad wordbad word. How dumb right? Can you imagine how lame it would be here if this site did it.

Sorry for the rant OP, Nice kill. I'm sure he never saw it coming.
