ok a friend of mine has a 95 t/a a4 with 3.73s 143k on the clock but with a rebuild, port and polish, cold air intake, bbk shorties, y pipe and flowmaster, y pipe back is 3in 160 degree stat...a custom ground cam from a guy named glen maine he builds race engines(idk specs) but its not a big cam,and a weak 2200 or 2500 stal or somthin, and no tune...and thats everything hes got, stock tb stock injectors everything, VS his fathers 2002 ws6 6spd 8lbs on a procharger with 3.73s and a borla catback, 42lb injectors, tune...idk what he made on 8lbs but on 5 he made 388 or somthin idk...anyway they told me they raced from 15-80 and the lt1 only lost by 1-2 lengths!!!!!!! is that possible..i mean he hasnt changed a thing besides gears sense last year and last yr when he had the 2.32s or 2.73s or w/e he barelys beat a high 13sec wrx

Holy run-on sentence batman...
I get the feeling you have to stop and catch your breath alot when you talk to people.
Dot, Dot, freakin Dot.
I'd say one of the follwing that applies to these situations
1. Very staut, surprising car
2. Full of ****
3. Shitty driver

even though ive built a few LT-1s, all my NA cars werent able to hang with 6speed LS1's. the top end on those cars far surpasses that of an LT motor.
like i said, and seeker said, probably it was the driver mod most needed in the WS6. i always built for maximum low end power to come off the line and hope i put enough lengths on to keep the distance for the win.
such is not the case anymore though.

While it is quite possible that his dad isn't the professional level racer that the rest of you are. Most likely "Dad" didn't want to "humiliate" his son and used just enough power to stay ahead of him. A win is a win whether it is by an inch or by a mile.
