Default cts vs. skittle... lmao

well im gonna make this short and sweet. My friends mom got a 2008 cts as a rental car so my friend(cptncdy on here) took that bitch out to see what it could do. Anyways we ran a skittle with atleast exhaust and BOV and beat it from 20 rolls 3 times by 2+ cars. The cts is quick as **** for a v6 and it shifts hard as a ************, and we had the carseat mod in the back which has to add atleast 30WHP .

The new ones have 300+ crank hp. 3.6 DOHC V6, varible valve timing, and direct fuel injection(it squirts fuel into the combustion chamber, instead of the intake runner).

And what do they run in the 1/4?? I know S R T 4s can hit high 13s if you can launch the FWD decently. I doubt a CTS is going to run a 13.

Hey quit being an *** and think.

You can give a **** driver a 13 sec car, but that doesn't mean he can drive it like a 13 second car now does it?

He never said it was an s.rt4 so maybe it was just a stock neon and if it was an s.rt4 maybe the kid had problems because an aftermarket bov on a stock neon will result in loss of power.

no it was an s r t 4 without a doubt. i was just messing around but he seemed pretty serious. he asked for the 20 roll and he even honked it off. i dont know what was going on with him but i repeatedly put 2+ cars on him.

The new CTS' w/ the bigger motor are not high 14 second cars. I can easily see them breaking the 13s in good wx. Maybe the smaller motor'd one ran a 14.8. One of the guys in our local car club just got one for his wife and he is amazed at how fast it is and is rackin up the kills....

Sorry but 300 hp in a 3800+ pound car does not = 13s. If thats the case I must have a have low 12 second car seeing I weigh close to that, but less, and have 100 more hp.

Our club guy will be going to the track come fall. I know for a fact it will run a low 14.

Gearing and transmission also helps a ton too, its not always about HP....

My imp weighs 4000 and is pushin about 330 to the wheels. How does it go mid 12s?

And your equation would equal out to about a low 13 second car, which you do have. The car will run a 14.3 at a minimum.
