Some people don't have the money to do everything at once... he's spraying the car till he can boost it. Nothing wrong with that.

Does that change the fact that he doesn't have the right setup like I said?

Wow...nitpick much? You made it sound like he was running all sorts of wrong parts. Everything about his "setup" is right. It's just waiting for the boost. I'm sure if you'd like to donate your's he'd be happy to have the "right setup" finally

yep, the car was built for boost, and it makes power up too 6250rpms. the car only makes 305 rwhp on motor alone, these little 2v dont breath like your ls1 heads do. my fully ported heads will barely outflow a set of stock ls1 heads, and thats why force feeding these cars are so popular. its really the only way to make power.

the intake on my car is a stock PI plastic intake. i have no need for an aftermarket one right now becasue there simply are not any intakes out there that really show any gains unless you go with a $1500 sheetmetal intake, but then you sacrifice torque which these mod motors are allready short on.

so its crappy that it picked up over 170rwhp on a 150 shot and over 250 lbs of torque? i guess i dont see it. anyways i am fixing to change the intake to a ported bullitt intake becasue i got a smoking deal on it and it might give me a 10 rwhp gain, but it will allow me to run more nitrous through the car. currently, a 150 shot is about the most i can spray before the fuel puddles in the intake and that makes a big mess of things. trust me i know. i had a fuel solonoid stick open and it cost me an intake.

again, its not that i cant afford to do it, i got really bored with cars for awhile and i have a new baby son. 3 months old. my priorities have changed a lot and getting the car finished just isnt really that big of deal. i dont mind having a mid 11 sec car that i can drive daily and still get close 26mpg out of it. im not complaining. i will finish the car up one of these days, but its just kinda on the back burner right now.

Your car makes power up to 6,250rpms yet you make 485rwhp and 600rwtq? That doesn't make alot of sense unless you are reving the **** out of it.

i could rev it 7500 but dont feel comfortable doing so with the long stroke. puts a little to much stress on the thrust side for me to do it.

oh and at the track, i launch it at 7000rpms off the 2 step with the 150 shot off the line. one of these days ill make a decent pass and not break anything. i guess this way though, i find all the little weak spots and get to upgrade them, but what a pain in the ***.

What is your LSA on your cams? That can be a big reason for your upper end issues.
