If I could drive better I would toss my factor springs back on and do it for you... but I suck at driving.

Closest I've seen personally was a 12.99 @ 110mph in an '02 WS6 6spd with a lid and SFCs.

The real trick is getting the 245 width tires to hold onto the pavement long enough to get off the line.... my 2.1 60fts are getting old.

That 12.99 run was with a 2.15 60' IIRC... there was just really good air that night.

Now that I am thinking about it.. Evan Smiths 12.8x pass was on a 2.1 60ft as well... maybe I just needed better air? haha..... (I was in slightly positive DA and my tracks not sea level )

Oh and did the WS6 have an aftermarket lid? Some came with Lids from the factory...

He told me it was a whisper lid... I assumed it was aftermarket.

Yeah... the factory is an SLP lid.

I am hoping to go 12.9 now with my 1LE springs, and a lid.

We will have to see. Still waiting on the lid. haha

Weight....Since the fox-body GT debuted in 1982, Mustangs have ALWAYS weighed less than the same year Camaro (given similar mods and similar powertrains).

05+ Mustangs (non-GT500) are about on par with 4th Gen F-bodies in weight. That will likely change drastically this time next year, when the 2010 V8 Camaro comes in at almost 3900 lbs.

Related, Mustangs have also typically had less rated HP.

Have anything to back up a 13.1 claim?
I had seen it personaly and got it on Video at MIR Fall 2006.
It was a guy from NJ, black GT stock down to the paper filter. he ran 13.19 @ 106. the D/A was -980 fantastic Track prep, but MIR is always great.

Here is one close 13.2 on Drag Times

here is an Automatic on DR's running 13.2 stock

Impressive..would like to see the video and a slip..though I realize you only have the video..... That's going to **** off a lot of Mach 1 owners.

I will post for you when I get back home from florida, I am on vacation.

Well 13.1 or 2's are rare, 13.3-4 are more of a milestone with averages of 13.5.
so I don't see this as a threat to Mach 1's, but the S197 can run very close to the Mach 1. the new trannys are better than the new edge and the 3v with VCT can add to the top end torque.
