Default T/A vs Quick Civic

A few weeks ago I ran a civic SI he said it has header, exhaust, short throw, tb, spray, and I couldnt see inside the car but he said the backseats were out and no spare tire/jack! My car is a 98 t/a A4 with Nitto's,Lid,tb

First run= 25 -100 he got me by two or three cars.
Second run= 0-100 I hook up really good, and I have a two cars on him, but he slowly reels me in, but it wasnt enough! I beat him by about half a car!! This has been my best race in months, usually theres nothing but GEO's riding around here. Anyways the guy said his best run was a 12.9!! How'd I do ?

Ehh, sounds like he's holding something back or has a decent amount of spray. Sure as hell wasn't a 50 shot...

I agree maybe a 125 shot. Stock civics si trap the 1/4 14.5.

Who cares, it's still a FWD Honda.
Mod your TA whtransam, you should have had him. Get a tune, sounds like you could use one.

He told you he had those mods (factual or not) but doesn't neccesarily mean the car had the stock motor in it. You can swap alot of engines into those cars and their aftermarket is extensive. Like said, the car could have have had much more done to it than he led you to believe. I have friends with these type of cars so I know. Not to mention those cars stock weigh in the 2,500lb range - at least the late 90's ones. Could very well have been stripped to lose 200-300lbs easily. You never know. The fact that it was probably being sprayed a good shot leads me to think it may have a built motor.

it usually seems to be the civics that spray put up a much better fight then the ones under boost. In most cases for street driven cars. Also do the free mods you will pick up another 10 horsepower i just wold not do the ported maf. http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm

My si' has a skunk2 intake and tb
DC header, testpipe, and Apexi catback.
Stage 2 clutch & lsd.

Im running a 100 wet shot to it.

It's hard from a dig, but on a roll I can get my buddies a4 Formula.

Theyre FWD's, they dont have traction for ****.
But on a roll they run ok..
Still no race car.

I have seen some pretty fast Supras. If it is what this guy claims you need alot more than LT headers and a tune.

If I was you I would get a stall before the headers and ORY. From what I seen that realy wakes up the auto's.

I have noticed, at least around here, that lots of people tend to see LSX cars as the thing to beat. I was cruising along a while back and an Ecplipe rolls up beside me and flexes on me. He got 30 gauges, a loud blow off valve, big intercooler etc, etc. I drop it down into first from a 30 and he can't quite keep up although I didn't beat him too bad. They then pull up next to me at a stop light all excited and ask what I have in my car. I let them know its stock except exhaust (was true at the time) and they are just like "hmmm, ok, cool, see ya".

You know they are thinking all this **** they did to their car and they just hung with a modded LS1 f-body car then they find out they are about as fast as a stock LS1 f-body car, lol.
