I would have to say the race would be way closer from a dig... here is why the vette weighs way less which only really matters down low in the mph range (look at the high speed street race vids) and aero takes over in the high mph range. The vette does have a aero advantage but is also low on tq which pushes you through the wind at high speeds. So vette and cobra less than 2 tenths off in the quarter with cobra winning(good drivers in both) and cobra at least 2 cars ahead by 140mph...

Well I have owned 3 C6s. Second one was a 08 A6 with LTs/x pipe, electric water pump, and a tune. Car had factory NPP exhaust. Car weighed 3179 with no gas. It was tuned by the MAN (ED Wright). It ran 11.70s on the stock tires, the only time I ever got to take it to the track before I sold it for my magnacharged 06 C6. Here is the vid. Car traped anywhere from 118 to 120 that night. It made 419/420 on standard graph, SAE was lower #s. Car cut a 1.87 60ft on this run. Best 60ft I cut that night, the others were in the 1.9s. Other passes were a 11.73 at 120, and two 11.74s.

I would say it will be a good match up, if the vette driver can shift. It's kinda funny, on the way to Memphis Tennesse for this actual Test N Tune the night I ran in the vid. I raced a 03 cobra (coupe) with full exhaust, upper and lower pulley, ported eaton, CCW drag pack and other Misc mods that made 500rwhp. Major **** was talked before this race, believe me this race was planned. We did a 50mph roll, I made the mistake of not using the paddles and on the third honk I floored it. But by the time my car downshifted he had exactly one car on me. The guy can drive (I never saw the nose drop), but by 145mph I was in front by half a car and still pulling. My car had a half a tank of gas and I weigh 160pounds. So It weighed about 3400 race weight at that time. Makes you wonder? What makes this story even better is the fact the guy came back in the 03 cobra for another piece against my new car in my sig, this time he had a 100 shot. He broke the rear. Oh yeah, I was on the stock runflats again on that run and it was 104 degrees at the track that day. lol
Just so you know UNIT, this is the fastest bone stock Z06. A 2006 Z06 10.981 @ 128.90--1.77---Jamie Furman. Ranger is #2 on the bone stock list, but his DR time is impressive.

Well I think it will be a good race, but if your spinnin your not winnin, and it looked like the cobra was spinning even at 60 mph. If the corvette doesn't spin like that similar modded vette I think the vette may win IMO
