Death by 3rd gen Eclipse
Death by 2nd gen Eclipse The other day on my way home a royal blue 3rd gen eclipse comes hauling *** next to me so I throw him a rev and then asked him what he had but didn’t say anything maybe he didn’t hear me we were going 55 mph. Well I told them to go on 3 his friend says ok I honk and on the third honk right when I was taking off they yelled at me to wait. So I notice the driver was push some bottoms
I think he was upping his boost once he did that then they said to go on 3. We had slowed down to 40mph; I honked and on the second honk he took off. He pulled on me by 3 lengths to 115 mph.
I tried to catch him but he keep going. I wanted another run with him maybe for a dig or a higher roll but the bastard keep going.
Now that is the first time I have LOST to an import 
and that is the first time I have lost with my new mods. I wonder what he has on his car to take me besides the jump?
. P.S. i did see an intercooler when he came flying up next to me.

what new mods do you have? judging by your sig you may have 300 to the wheels ?? it wouldnt suprise me a modded eclipse beat you esp a gst or gsx if it were a gsx he would have hurt you worse from a dig though. mod up and run him again. PS some spray will solve that problem nicely. oh yeah 40 in a a4 is 90% probable death.

Welp since it's a turd gen, I have no idea. Didn't know those V6's could handly ANY boost so I'm surprised there. I guess he would have to have about a 17G turbo or equivalent to put out enough power for his weight to compete with you.
After looken up the Eclipse is 2nd gen SORRY GUYS fixed the title

Don't feel too bad, turbo DSMS are no joke, it doesn't take much cheese to turn the stock 15second car into a solid 12 second surprise. They run the same engine the Evos ran for a long time, just with a different turbo setup. I think most of them are running big 16G turbos which with a FMI and support mods should be able to take a stockish ls1. I remember when I was really into DSMs there was a few people running high 11's on big 16g turbos. I see more fast 1gens then 2nd, I know people were really worried about crank walk on the 2nd gens. I think only the 99 model 2nd gen didn't have the crank walk issue.

I had a 97 GST spyder that put 400rwhp it was a beast until I gave up on it after the 3rd engine let go. My old installer was a retard and didnt find the hairline crack in the block until the 3rd time. Uh duh dudmbass that is what happens when you are not getting oil to all the block. Oh well my GTO after its twins would smoke the old one anyways and it is a much nicer ride. I still like the body of the 97-99 eclipses but the interior is utter cheap plastic crap with pleather interior.
Your an A4, 40mph your tranny doesn't downshift to 1st gear that high. Thats why he pulled you so bad. Catch him again and go from either 25 or 55 and your golden. I've been pulled on just like that from 40 and went again at either of those speeds and it was a totally different race, trust me.

Your right 25 and 55 roll i do alot better but i didnt get a second chance.There will be a next time. I dont have a shift kit or converter
Now a properly modified 1G or 2G can haul mail. I personally prefer the 1st gens for obvious reasons. 
See my sig for one of my former cars My DSM used to bury F-bods and C5's from a roll stop whatever. Never had it dynoed as back when I had it there were none around but it was no joke. It is the reason I just picked up an Incon TT kit for my SS.
