C6 Z06 cammed VS Modded C6 and GTO VIDS Well I have to say my fried has an awesome 08 Red 2lt Z06. Mods are LTs, X pipe, no cats, BB Fusions, ported TB, Ported intake, K&N, QM 600 cam, Dyno tune by Ed Wright. Car makes 550 rwhp and 498rwtq. Car has factory tires on it, the Z has like 4000 miles on it.
VS a 05 DSOM that was built by a known speed shop in Texas. It has a built 402 with heads and cam along with a procharger. Car has a aftermarket clutch and has blown the stock rear three times now. lol Beautiful car. It makes just over 650rwhp Car has runflats on it.
Third car the Z06 is running is a LS1 GT0 with a 150 shot of gas, LS2 heads that are ported, cam, stall, and bolt ons. (#s unknown) Car is on Drag radials

Your probably wondering who would win between me and my friend in the Z06

Here is what happened. The Z06 is a badass 550 rwhp machine that weighs 3150 pounds. I just didn't have enough to win, but it was a lot of fun.
First race.
Me and Casey decide to do a 20 rooollll. We both decide to use traction control, other wise we would have just slowed down anyway at that mph. On the 3rd honk we hit. My car was obviously was holding back the tires, but it still went sideways and it was enough I had to correct it. Casey hit it and as his car went to kill the tires his traction control really kicked in and killed his power. I started out 3/4 of a car, I new he was close because I couldn't see him in the rear view. Besides that 427 was screaming. Casey starts pulling back on me really when he hits third. Before I knew it we were even. It was so weird for a second we just hung beside each other, then that thing just started pulling again. He rolled out in the front and when we shut down he was 1 1/2 cars in front. I looked down and I was doing 140mph when I hit the brakes. Casey had to be doing close to 150mph.
A little insight. I had between a 1/8 and 1/4 tank of gas, Casey had a half a tank. It was me and my brother in my car. We both weigh 160 lbs. It was Casey and Shannon in the Z; they both weigh more than me and Ben. I was crunching some numbers and we were both at pretty much the same race weight, definitely an advantage to me. For all you gear lover I have 2.56s against Casey’s 3.42s.
Second run
We decide on a 50mph rolllll, battery on the camera died. Sorry, not that it mattered, the other video was corrupted by the camera anyways. We were side by side. We were side by side for a while, I was surprised about that. But in the upper mph Casey again began to pull away. At 140 mph for the second time he was another 1 1/2 cars. Same outcome

^Also curious about that, but judging from the idle and power the car made I'm thinking that it does have a cam.

Sorry guys I didn't list the cam in his mods, just forgot to put it in their. The guy in the GTO went to a local track today and went 7.30 in the 1/8, I guess he got it to hook a little better. But his #s are down, he got it dynoed the other day for the first time. It only made 350rwhp through his H/C and boltons setup, and 450rwhp with the 150shot on a dynojet. ?????
A buddy of mine was their with his 08 Z06 bone stock with 700 miles on it that made 430rwhp and 408 rwtq. 95 degrees though with 50 % humidity.
