you have to watch out for those sleepers. I lost to a mirage of all cars. It had a turbo eclipse motor swap with the awd drivetrain and everything. That thing was wicked.

They've been building some really nice cars in the past decade or so... I can't wait for the new Genesis platform to come out so I can see what all the hype is about with the new RWD coupe they're releasing. Less than 3,000lbs, RWD, 305hp V6.

It's not a matter of your opinion as much as the way you talk about people who like something different than you. You come off as some big mouth retard without regard for why they bought the car. Different tastes and different finances lead to different cars.
Just because you haven't taken the time to look past your own driveway and notice all of the sub 10second imports running around the streets of the country, doesn't mean that these cars can't be cool to some people.

good for you speaking for everyone you think is going to give you a cookie for that great speech... I'm well aware of fast imports and have been outrun by many. A Hyundai Tibueron is not one of them. Gather me a list of all the sub 10 sec Tibuerons hero and then I'll agree with you otherwise realize we already got past this

I remember back in high school I drove a '69 Chevy 1/2 ton Stepside with 9" of lift and 40" tires, a 350 with a mild cam and nothing else. The damn thing wouldn't do over 60 mph with it's 3.73 gears. I knew it wasn't fast, never claimed to be, but I'll be damned if people didn't notice me! I was proud of that thing too. Complete frame off resto, two years in the making. Alot of time spent with my dad and good memories.

I fell in love with the last Gen when they came out. I wanted a new T/A so bad, even went and test drove one, and was hooked. I graduated in 99 and went to work and finally bought a T/A which is the one I have now.

Granted if a kid had a chance to cruise into school in any of our cars I'm sure they would jump at the oppertunity.

That's a pretty damn nice car actually... they're getting WAY better. Now when the coupe comes out, I'm gonna go to a dealership and drive one .

There was a local guy that S/C'd a V-6 Tibby, nice little car, well done and not ricey at all. I think it put down close to 300 WHP but it was still wrong wheel drive. He ended up getting a Whippled Cobra.

I ran a shitbox early to mid 90s 4 door mirage from a roll last night in my 96. I probaly only beat it by two or three cars.

I have never had the car to the track in full street trim with 18" wheels and a passenger, my guestimate would be a low 11, high ten @ 128-130.

That little car was quick! I dont know if he swapped AWD or not, so it may not ET well, but it had to trap at least 125-126.

150 hp in a Neon with no weight to it actually made for a pretty quick little car. I think in 95 or 96 they had a faster 0-60 time than a 5.0 Mustang.

Sleepers are fun! I wouldn't personally do it to a Tiburon, but I've definitely thought of turbocharging my Z24. I still think I'd prefer to do an LS1 swap into a Solstice or an RX-7 though.

The fastest N/A Neons were running low-mid 15s at like, 88-89mph. And that's *if* you had the 150hp version.

I had a Hyundai once. It was slow, took a mile to turn and smoked like a fish.

I'm not on here to defend neons but you proved my point for me. Do those same mods to a neon for less money and it will run atleast those times in a SOHC or DOHC

My .02 Cars are like women. We can't all have hot chics with boob jobs, They are just so rare and conceded from getting hundreds of compliments all day "which would compare to gt500 and c6 z06 pricing."

But no matter how many of us love american muscle, we would jump on a hot asian the first chance we got! **** even! R U gonna go 4 the American Blonde Gettin pounded on bt some black dude, or the hot asian w/ the Vibe 2000?
