355 LT4 hotcam TA vs LS1 Firehawk, after a ricer 300zx bitched out Well we spent the first hour of the night waiting for a punk in a 300zx (if you saw my earlier thread about him calling me out on my bike, it's the same one) and he never showed up. It was supposed to be 300zx TT vs the LT1 trans am. The ZX has been talking trash on him the last week saying how he's going to smoke him and yada yada. Well he was supposed to show up, never did. Then he thought we were trying to set him up with the cops so he was going home for the night. After a lot of trash talk, he agreed to show.. and never did.. then turned his phone off.
So we were there, I had my cam, I just wanted to see a race for fun. I wondered how a stock LS1 would do against a mild mod LT1.
LT1 97 TA-
Converted to 98+ body with WS9 hood
Budget 355 build by him
Home ported heads and intake (just gasket matched with a little runner smoothing)
LT4 hotcam kit
Pacesetter LT, ORY, blowmaster
AUTO with 3000 stall

SLP lid, lol.
The video sucked because I was deleting pics to make room for it when I heard the honks and hurried to catch the race. 3 honks, 20 roll. There was a LOT more distance in real life compared to what the video looks like.

Obvious who was going to win, but it was better then getting hyped up for a race then not seeing anything. The LT1 needs a tune BAD, he is on a mailorder and it isn't running like it should be.

I can't see an lt4 w/ all those mods losing that bad even w/ a mail order tune he probably shouldn't be driving a stalled and cammed car w/o a tune. At any rate better than no action at all.
