Spinning ain't winning. If you spin from 25-60mph, then you won't be pulling ahead of a car with a little less hp that is hooking.

Because you hook at 60mph, and nothing less according to your prior statement. Therefore, from a 25 roll, you will just blow the tires off letting him get ahead of you. Then you having to play catchup when you finally hook yielding you a win by maybe a car length, or two.

I'm not really following how you could be dead even with a Cammed M6 SS from a roll either? Nice slay on the mach though!

Go look at my other thread and watch the vid i made to see the mildly cammed SS.

Im not trying to argue about pointless **** but i know if we started low hed spin too. Even when i spin i pull hard. I also had the heaviest friend you could possibly have in the car with me when i ran the Mach while he was alone.

I take back all that i said because the "what ifs" and "what shoulds" are retarded. I dont know how much better i wouldve done without my gigantic friend and i dont know how i wouldve fared if we started from a low roll. All i know is what happened.

You would have easily been in C6 Z06 territory if you hadn't had your friend with you!

Just calling it like I read it. The Mach 1 would have to be an A4, start in a higher gear, and be bone stock for a bolt'on/geared LS1 to put several bus lengths on it.

I still commend you on your victory though.

Wait, an auto LS1 is stronger from a roll than a manual Mach 1 stock vs stock?

Nice kill, OP.

Most of the time, yeah... a 2.73-geared convertible, no.

Where are you from? I see you have Lane's duals just wondering if you are in the DFW area? Those duals must be kinda old cause Lane's closed down a long time ago.

^I am in NC. I just got them about a month ago from someone locally who bought them just before Lanes' quit making them. They were in great shape when i bought them and have held up perfectly. I love them.

Nice kill!! It sounds like you have a pretty stout Camaro there!
Having owned a 2001 Z28, I know they can run pretty good.

What does it matter. It's just a car!! You guys take to much pride in your cars Hell i could see if it was your family member. Once again this is LS sight for Gm's not mustangs.

So why are you here with your LT1?

Stang guys are here to learn and to teach. Surprisingly, most of us have respect for these cars and/or have owned one at some point. Stop being so negative.

I respect LS-anything. LT anything not so much. I had an 94 Formula with a 100 shot and full exhaust and it couldn't beat my Mach before the Procharger.

God dang man. The LT's ain't that much slower than the LS's. Even if your LT didn't feel any faster than your stock Mach, I assure you it was with those mods.
