You said you had 2 passengers and yourself in the vehicle? How much do you and your passengers weigh? Even if you and both your passengers weighed 200lbs a piece I don't see how in the world he beat your car. Your mod list would make your LS1 pretty stout. Either way good kill/loss but you gotta find a way to race him again and put him in his place!

First off guys I didnt lose, the two times that he "got me" were false starts by anyones measure. The first one was a blow by and the second one he went on the second beep as opposed to the third.

Secondly, I would hardly call my car a misrepresentation of an ls car, especially in the midrange department. I make more horsepower and torque at 3500rpms than a stock LS1 makes at 6K.

I think the problem lies in the fact that he doesn't know if it was modded. Those cars are turbo'd...top end will always, always be awesome. Plus they rev like stink.

actually I believe one of the VR4s biggest weaknesses is its weak top end/rev limit. Regardless I had more top end than he did, before I hit 6500 he had to shift, and i shifted a little bit after that pulling pretty nice.

If you read my first post I had been told by some dude that the VR4 only had a boost controller and that would be very surprising to me if it could even stay in my rear view mirror. So, not knowing much about them, I asked the question.

why were you in 3rd gear at 65mph? what is that like 4k rpms? should have been in 2nd and you would have put about 3 more cars on him.

Those things can be bad ***. Watching Pass Time last night one went 9.90. But it had a lot more than a boost controller and it was totally gutted. I would call on just a boost controller on his.
