First run in with a gt500.... I see this guy about every single day because I drive past his house on my way to work so, anyway, he was leaving the gas station as I was driving by so I flipped around and I knew he was headed to his house, which there is a long straight four lane road at, well I get beside him (tell him nice car because it was, silver with black stripes) but we started to slow down for a red light...
...but it turned green as we are almost stopped so he takes off normal up until about 30 when he hits it. He jumps out about a half car on me and by the time we shut down we were dead even. I guess that's about right I'm not sure, I was just glad I held my own against a car that has 100 more rwhp than me...lol I have the dyno sheet to prove it.
His mods: Stock I'm pretty sure.
My mods: TSP Torquer v3, Pacesetter LT's w/true duals, intake, 3500 stall, 3.73's, small amount of weight reduction, nitto dr's

There was a new GT500 with pulley/tune at the track with me the other night, he ran a mid 13, can't remember exactly. I talked to the ******** before he ran and commented on how he was on street tires and he would have traction problems, that dumb bastard insisted that he would spin 10 feet and hook...Lol, well that wasn't the case as you can guess. I really wanted to line up with him and put the embarrassment on but it wasn't meant to be, I was running mid 11's that night. This is at 4400' btw.
Good run though, they are beautiful cars!

Thanks for reading ^^^^ and here we get terrible da's, plus the guy was a good driver. I'm going to the track in a couple of weeks so I'll have some more times then.

mchdg86 I'm from the Shawnee area, I see you're from Tulsa. I would like to come to Tulsa raceway to make a few passes I've heard it's a better track than Thunder valley.

I dont know how thunder valley is but all I gotta say is that I love TRP. It is just a bad *** track and they are always making improvements. The only gripe I have is thay I wish they they would redo the return road.

Well I'm going to try to make it up there before too long, I want to make a few more passes on my 3500 stall before I put in the pt4400 and see if there is much of a difference.

Good kill. Im tryin to get a friend of mine with the KR version to race me. He put down about 810 to the wheels so he says, Im not sure how much how much the package adds but he wont unleash it . I think I will have to catch him out there. He is rolling on twenty inch rims and a dam good suspension, But the gt500 are pigs and im light weight so I think I can get him.

The KRs are 540HP unless you opt for more upgrades. So far, in ***magazine testing***, they have produced 1/4 mile times slower than the GT500s, which is unusual to say the least.Every KR and SuperSnake I've seen tested are in the high 12's, the best bone stock time for a GT500 is 12.2 layed down by mustang driver extrodinaire Evan Smith, which was the only lower 12 out of about 10-12 runs at the strip, most were mid to high 12's. Saw this one:
