bolt on acura TL-S vs 98 T/A
so driving up to the gym last night and i pull up next to a guy in a silver acura TL-S. light turns green we both hit it... i put about a length or length and a half on him up to 70. turns out hes going to the same gym, he said he had full bolt ons (exhuast, UD pulley, tune, ect.). it was a good race tho, those things are quicker than i expected.

ooohhhh. the TL-S is FWD? didn't know that. I haven't had to run into any (they usually pace me like the other jap cars) but I thought they were RWD at least with 300hp.

If their automatic had any kind of aggressive stall (or if the 6spd manual was still available) it would be different on the bottom end. They don't really wake up till 4,000-5,000rpm

Makes sense. Couldn't apply your torque advantage while he comes into his powerband, is how I see it.

Everything is getting quick. Look at the new Hyundai Genesis 4dr sedan that runs near 13's @ 103+, AMAZING!

Yep,,, it's a wonderful time for these stock street terrors... I hope the gas crunch doesn't kill all the tech advances made in early 2k. Ford is already making major changes in it's marketing and bringing smaller/more fuel efficient cars to market. I hope they don't kill another power dynasty like the early 70's. I see much more F/I small displacement fuel efficient cars in our future...
