Default quick kill on a mustang shelby gt

Seen him start weaving through traffic, i followed steadily about 6 cars back gliding through traffic in no haste. He, on the other hand was pushing everyone with his tailgating until the road cleared up. Its amazing how I got to the clearing with out going above 30 and using my lane change signals...idiot. So I get to the light next to him and he must be like 17 years old with a friend. Gave me a smug look and took off, I followed behind but did not open up because the next light was only about 100 feet away and was already red.

At the next light I pull up next to him and give him a nod, he does the chin up thing and smirks. The light turns green and we are off, he chirped a bit as I burned through all of first (cool night) and chirp second then got grip and am off, I pulled so hard it was embaressing, after about 8-10 cars I think he gave up. the next light he had his windows rolled up with dark tint so I could not see him. I am guessing a shelby gt is a gt with dress up and maybe a cai, no clue but it was fun, still a nice looking car but it needs a rear lip spoiler. Still fun since I havent raced my car in a while.

good kill. they i think have like 20 something more crank HP than a normal GT? but i belive there added weight actually makes them slower. they do look fairly nice. a guy here paid 37k for his... small town you know how they charge an arm and a leg for specialty cars.

to give you an idea. we have ONE ford dealership, One Pontiac, One Chevy, Dodge has tried 2-3 times and went out of business each time.

I have never seen any Z06s on the floor at the chevy dealer.

the Pontiac atleast has 2 G8's cannot tell if there GT models or not.

the ford place had the SHelby GT and 2 other stangs GT's rest were v6's

it does not take much to be one of the faster cats around here

Good kill OP. That Mustang was in need of a driver mod. While you absolutely should of beat him, I think 8-10 lengths is a murder. Those cars run low to mid 13's stock, they are not that slow.

I saw one at the track the other day that ran a best of 15.22 on drag radials. I know the guy and he can shift the hell out of one. I think he must have just bought a lemon because the original engine locked up with only 700 miles on it. The new motor must not be completely healthy either because we were all figuring at least a high 13 but it was nowhere near that.

Nice kill. They really need to release the 6.2 yesterday! It will be nice having much closer races when they up the displacement here shortly.

Talking truth Pony not crap.... Won't need a 100 shot to break the 300whp too much longer either... Built LS2 TT is being swapped in as we speak... How does 550whp of LS2 boosted power sound in a completely restored Lexus SC400 sound? One of kind I can't wait...

Yes there is always a faster car out their.... You are correct..

You got it ineedspeed... Looking at the finished swap product in about 4-5 months.... Working out the nightmare electrical integration plans now with a stand alone ECU...Not easy, wire diagrams and all... The worst part of the swap..

Hardly anything you have posted is 'truth' these last few days. Stop acting like all mustangs are slow. that's is nothing near the truth.

I will give you credit for originality on your project. I like the IS300s myself, but a TT LS2 SC400 would be a mean SOB. (and pending boost/tune, you'd be alot more than 550whp).

Well atleast I got some perks from you on my LS2 build and swap...550whp is a conservative number for starters.. I am really exited about this swap... Thanks...

I do not think all Fords are slow.. Where did you come up with that one? Newer GT500's rip, GT40's rip, Cobra's rip, Saleens rip..etc..

See...I can be a nice guy. I give credit will credit is due....good or bad. I just think it's the 'bad' part you dont' like.

you constantly talk down on stangs. Thats where I got it from. Also, there is no GT40 mustang. 03/04 cobra's rip (prior years are slower than Machs), Saleens, well that depends on the year. 99-04 all are 'relatively' slow in stock form with the exception of S281E's. Even the S281sc's are only low 13 sec cars. I think you are more going off of 'name sake' than you are real world. That's not meant negatively BTW.
