Yeah, the GXP's and SRT8's should be a great rivalry!

JIBBBY, did you miss the part where we raced twice from a dig? We did do one race roll, which is always fun to see how they'll stack up. You can't always choose where you'll run across a cool car. Would you like us to just stop on the highway and hold up traffic ever time we come across a cool car that wants to run?

YES...... People can wait, and I'm sure most would like to see that race from a dig anyway...

Sounds like they'll be some great races, though.
You mean like a G8 GT with larger wheels? It's like the 350Z, only the owners and a few others think it has great styling. Like a squared off GTO.

Chargers are love/hate but at least they are distinctive and aggressive.

The SRT8 Chargers look pretty cool, but I actually like the SRT8 Magnum's better.

Stop the car and frigg'n launch from a dig and that's real race... People whom race from a roll pretty much know their car is weaker out of the blocks. I find that quite often from the owners of the smaller import turbo'd ricer cars... I just don't like it, as one car is usually playing catch up on the roll right from the start as both usually don't take off at the same time..
uh............okay, i'll be nice here and not tell you how dumb you are.

P.S. the srt8 and gxp will be a damn good race, i'd love to see it.

Hahaha, they look nothing like a squared off GTO, and I see BOTH pretty much every day considering my brother has a G8 GT and my dad has an 04 GTO. Have you actually SEEN a G8 GT in real life? That's not even a close comparison. Maybe if you said it somehwat resembles a WAY more aggressive, badass looking four door Grand Prix, but even those two don't really look alike, and that's as close as you're gonna get.

And I'm not seeing what the problem is with the 350Z styling. I think they look pretty cool.

All opinions aside, though, I can't wait to see the GXP vs SRT-8 races.

Good story, but I'm surprised by the results. My TA pulls my 06 GTO almost a car in every gear. M6>A4. So my point is my GTO won't beat a G8 GT? I need to run one now.

I think an LS2 GTO would probably pull a G8 by a little. I raced an M6 LS1 GTO and I beat it, but it was close, and above 100mph no one really pulled. I'd think that an auto LS2 goat will beat an M6 LS1 goat from a roll.

I've seen several G8s. Definitely in the Pontiac family of styling. Not bad, though.

IMO, the best way to compare is best to best, stock to stock. An LS2 GTO will run a 12.9 @ 109mph. A G8 GT 13.6 @ 104mph or so. Similar to an LS1 GTO, 4-5mph slower than an LS2.

If you're gonna go best for best then the best G8 that I've found went 13.39 and I've seen a couple trap 106 mph, but I'm not sure what the official fastest time is. Still slower than the LS2 GTO, but that's definitely expected when the GTO weighs over 200 lbs more and makes at least 30 more rwhp. I think the G8 GT is more comparable to an LS1 GTO and the G8 GXP should be a great race for an LS2 GTO.

What suprised me is that an LS1 GTO weighs over 200 lbs less than me and makes the same rwhp, but even from a roll I was able to slightly pull it.

I'm a little leery of 106mph but I suppose it's possible.

Not sure what you meant in the bold part. The LS2 GTO is probably 100+ lbs lighter. In the second part, it was due to gearing.
