Default changing pads myself?

Is changing the pads myself that hard if I have never done it before? Also what about some new rotors, can I change these myself too or would that be a bad idea? Thanks.

Nah not hard at all. Just takes some force to get the rear rotors off (Rubber mallet ).

It's extremely easy. I've removed the calipers and rotors at least six or seven times, on each corner! Never had a problem. The hardest part is resetting the caliper to accomodate the thicker pads, btu even this is super easy!

Remember!! Pump your brakes before driving it right after the install, because right when you start it you won't have any brakes

I just did it this weekend, along with the rotors. Suprisingly easy. The biggest PITA by far was those stupid little copper clips that were around 3 of the studs in the back, and 1 in the front. Had to take those off to get the rotors off, and what a pain. But since you're doing just pads you won't have to deal with that! Also not a bad idea to bleed them while you're there.

I just changed mine two weeks ago and by far it is the easiest car I've ever done a break job on. The little stud clips were a PITA to get off.

I did have to take off the rear rotors again this weekend. The parking break was slightly rubbing the inside of the rotors so I had to adjust them. Other than that there were no problems. I think it took me just as long to jack up the car take the wheels off and to put the wheels back on and torque the lugs properly as it did to do the whole brake job.

OEM pads are very good pads.

A great compromise between dust, noise, rotor friendly and performance
