Default Painting Suspension?

I have a 00 z28 that im changing the color to blue and my suspension pieces are red. If i sand them and paint them and throw lets say 5 -7 coats of clear on them you think they should be ok. I also thought about powdercoating them blue but i have access to a compressor and paint gun so i thought id do it myself?

thanks

There is a board sponser named The Powder Pro who does a really good job powder coating brake calipers and other parts. He does top notch work at a fair price. Do a search for him on this board and you'll see some amazing beautiful parts.

If you do decide top paint them. 5-7 coats of clear is way to many. 2-3 would be better. To many coats and it will chip easier.

That's me

thanks for the props major and tooth doc.

Feel free to PM me on your suspension project, be glad to assist on a color change.

Paint and clear from a gun is more durable than a rattle can of course, but its still only a matter of time before it fails. Powder is the way to go for both durability and appearance
