Default Installed Torque Arm But Feels The Same

I just installed a adjustable torque arm in my 2001 SS M6, And I really cant feel to much of a difference versus stock..the Torque Arm is at 0 and the drive shaft is at -2 which should result a pinion angle of -2?

Did you change from a long to a chassis mount? If not you really won't feel anything diff.. When I swapped I went from tranny mount to Chassis mount and the diff was night and day for me...

The pinion angle should be -2 degrees. The purpose of upgrading your torque arm is strength. The stock arm is made from stamped steel is is a very weak product. Under a heavy load it will bend and flex. Aftermarket torque arms will not. Combined with other suspension parts you will see a performance gain in you car and your suspension will be more reliable. If you have any questions about how to set your pinion angle refer to our video or just give me a call.

I hope you mean the driveshaft is at "0", and the rear axle is at "-2"....

The rear end of mine felt tighter after the install, if that makes sense. It also helped me find the traction limits of the tires more easily.

Like everyone else has said you will feel it more when you launch the car with something sticky it wont flex/bend/break like the stock POS and should give you better weight transfer. I just bought the chasis mount for the shorter tq arm.I purchsed one after seeing some tailshafts destroyed from the stocker breaking.

weird I forgot the UMI Chassis mount was garbage. The noise is true, and most of the manufactures will tell you that you MIGHT pick up road noise but its not enough to matter to the majority of us, which would be me. For one your taking the torque arm out of a rubber mount and bolting it directly to the body of the car....If you dont think that will trasmit more noise then I dont know what to tell you. This isnt the point of this post, the only reason why I said it was because it was the only difference I could tell in the change on the street, It was ment more as a joke to the OP then anything.

Set the adjustable torque arm to an angle of -3.5 and thank me later!
